Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

KosovoThe only thing was a noise that sounded like water going down the tubes in the wall which was annoying if you’re trying to get some early sleep but Im not sure if it was just a one-time thing or it happens all the time. I only stayed there for a night!
Everything was great, clean and smelled really nice!! The location is perfect especially for early flights because it is 9mins bus to the DUS airport!! So I’d highly recommend it for easy access at the airport!!

NorwayOur stay was during summer and as the hotel does not have air conditioning it was very warm. The staff however lent us a fan which helped greatly. If you are sensitive to heat I would maybe not recommend staying here in summer.
The atmosphere of the hotel and the room was very cosy. The staff were very helpful and friendly at all times.

NetherlandsTo the city center, it is a bit far. That was not a real disappointment, we knew this. There is a bus stop in front or you can easily take an escooter.
The hotel is close to the airport, the convention center and the football stadium. We thought we would just have a normal room, but we received an apartment right next to the hotel. It was very spacious with a kitchen, living room and huge balcony. This was a nice surprise.

NetherlandsThe room that was initially given to us was unacceptable. The second room was better, but still it only had single beds pushed together instead of one two-person bed. Location is a not great either and for a hotel next to the airport, very little English is spoken by the staff. Our room was in a basement in a separate building, which was a bit odd as well.
After some confusion about our room, we were put in a nicer, bigger one. The room that we ended up in was nice and clean.

AustraliaWifi only worked intermittently and would have loved a kettle.
Spacious room, very clean, nice bathroom & comfortable. Had a strong fan to keep us cool and a small refrigerator which was awesome. I knew when I booked it was out of town but it was an easy 10 min walk to the train and the bus stopped right near the hotel. Close to football ground and airport. The German restaurant on the site but not owned by them was fabulous.

CyprusThe rooms are a bit old and there was no air condition. No elevator to the higher floors. Keys are old style, which makes it very difficult to go around with.
Breakfast was nice and the service was excellent. Bathroom were big, modern and very clean. The hotel was walking distance from the stadium (or two tram stops).

United StatesIt's not well set up for hot weather (presumably not that common) and it was challenging to avoid the heat. The window in the bathroom in my room made the bathroom very warm the first half of the day. In the winter, I'm sure this is a good thing. There was a minor maintenance issue with the door on the shower, but everything else was flawless, which made it stand out. Traffic noise was a bit high at times with the windows open due to the warm weather.
High quality breakfast and the breakfast staff were excellent. Absolutely worth the upcharge. The room was roughly what I expected and very clean. Water pressure was high with instant hot water and high flow; with planning, a shower could be completed with around 90 seconds of running water. It was also nice that there was a single key for all the locks to get into my room. It's directly on the RheinBahn 721 bus route to/from the airport, which picks up at terminal C (ground level near the Sky Train stop, also the location of the nearest 24-hour grocery store). The stop just to the south and the one across the highway to the west are stop for 722, which takes you to the nearby Messe. Rental scooters are usually along the sidewalks outside for quick trips in the area. Lastly, it's right off the highway if you have a car and a large shopping mall was under construction when I was there (may be completed by the time you're reading this).
