The door to the bathroom is milky glass and as soon as the light is switched on, you can see right in. The mirror on the wall also made it possible to look in from all angles even if you don't want to The AC is very loud and when I asked, only cools when it's 23°C outside. This is unfortunate, because with two of us in the the room, it got really hot but having the window open the whole night, was not an option due to the road. Just having the air circulating would have been great, but too loud.

The bed was really comfortable, slept really well on it.

Entrance to the underground garage is quite narrow.

I like location (due to the fact that we have an office on the other side of the street). A good hotel for business accomodation, if you have things to do on southern outskirts of Berlin.

Breakfast was ok but didn't have much choices. My room had a cupboard that looked like a refrigirator, but didn't contain one - a fake refrigirator, so to say 😐

5 to 8 minutes walking distance to many scientific institution in the area like HZB, DLR, and more. There's a Kaufland in 5 minutes walking distance. They had Rituals shower jel and soap in the rooms, which was a big plus. Comfortable bed, room not too big but big enough for 2.

The curtains don't really keep the light away in the morning. The rooms could be more modern.

Staff was friendly, hotel amenities are fine, the rooms aren't the most modern ones, but the bed was very comfortable, which is what really matters.

The menu in the restaurant had almost no vegetarian/vegan options. Breakfast was ok. The price all in all in my opinion is on the high side.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. Desk, shower etc. all what you'd expect in terms of standards.

Great hotel with room for improvement. A 24-hour bar would be a fantastic addition; being able to enjoy a mojito at 3am would be delightful. Also, while the hotel does receive Amazon deliveries, it would be more convenient if they delivered packages directly to the room, rather than having to pick them up at the reception. It's a small detail, but it could enhance the overall experience.

Fantastic stay! The breakfast selection was superb, complete with gluten-free bread options. The staff were incredibly kind and went out of their way to assist us. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch. Also, the shower was a delight with its hot water and excellent water pressure. Highly recommend!

The WiFi was a little slow. The front side of the hotel borders a busy road, which did not allows me to leave the window open during the night because of the sound.

The room was clean and tidy, with a comfortable bed. Also, the breakfast was very good, with enough options and fresh food. Overall a lovely experience!

The facilities in the rooms are very poor. There is no fridge, no safe locker box, not even a coffee machine or an electric kettle to make some tea. Just a bed, a table/chair, a TV (who really watches TV these days?), and a very basic bathroom. Also, there is no actual wardrobe/cabinet or any place to put a large baggage. It may become uncomfortable if you come to stay for more than just a couple of nights.

There are not many hotels in Adlershof, so if you are looking for one in this particular location, then Essential might be a good option. There are plenty of places to go for lunch, a large supermarket (Kaufland) right across the street, and an S-Bahn station 7 minutes walk away if you want to go to the city center. The rooms in the hotel are bright and clean. Nothing special but also nothing particularly bad.

Some feedback: The room had not been used for a few days as there was dust gathered on the phone and a few other places. Giving the room a once over before welcoming guests would be helpful. The AC would not go lower then 18 degrees. It was really warm even with 18, especially at night. It would also be awesome if the bottled water in the room was replenished everyday. Parking should be free considering the cost of a nights stay.

The staff at reception were really nice. The room was very spacious especially for a couple. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were soft. If you like your pillows a little harder, I would suggest bringing your own. Public transport was easily accessible from the hotel. It took 30ish minutes from the hotel to get to the city center. The hotel provided parking but we opted to park along the side street (free parking) which was good. Breakfast was good with a selection of things to choose from.
