Needs more variety in the casual dinning. I ate at the fine dinning section which was very good but sometimes you just want a burger or something more casual and the choice was limited. Also,the pot of morning coffee could be hotter.

Everyone is very pleasant and clearly wants you to have an enjoyable stay.....rooms were cleaned very quickly....even got served breakfast by the owner of the hotel!. Very pleasant

The spa area was ok, but the swimming pool's temperature could have been warmer, jacuzzi should be separated from the rest of the pool and have much hotter water (for a 5*)

Pool could have be a touch warmer but that is just a minimal complaint.

The staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Our room was not only esthetically pleasing but immaculate. Comfortable and relaxing. Quite space. Lovely touches such as fresh flowers in the room and in the bathroom. Strawberries delivered to us upon arrival. I was a single adult traveling with two kids, ages 13 and 10yo. We stayed in the one room together and it was extremely spacious. We frequented the pool and sauna daily as the weather was less than hospitable.

All was fine. A small detail only, the corridor on the second floor had a slightly unpleasant smell, possibly for the frying and cooking in the restaurant downstairs (room was fine). Some extra airing would help.

Nice hotel, clean and comfortable. I was welcomed with some strawberries and mineral water in the room, a nice touch. Breakfast was of very good, the selection was reasonable and everything offered was of very high quality. Unfortunately I did not have time to visit the SPA area.

Iconic building which takes you back to a forgotten era with exceptional modern facilities, this is truly a 5* experience. The rooms have fresh flowers as does every room and even table of the entire hotel. Glass bottled water regularly replenished in the room free, I thought the complimentary rubber duck in the bathroom was a nice touch!

Absolutely marvelous! Just steps away from the old city, the hotel is a wonderful combination of old-world charm and elegance with modern conveniences and amenities. With their attention to detail, friendliness, and attentiveness, the staff gave truly 5-star service throughout every aspect of our stay. We particularly enjoyed evening cocktails in the elegant and beautifully appointed bar and cigar lounges after our days of exploring the charming city of Heidelberg. Easily one of the best hotels at which we have stayed anywhere in Europe! HIGHLY recommended!

Our first visit to Heidelberg was made even better because of Hotel Europäischer - it was exceptional in every way. We loved our room, the garden bar, the beautiful lounge bar and the breakfasts. The staff were always so pleasant and the owners are to be commended.

This was such a treat…the wonderful feeling of yesteryear quality and opulence, but with modern touches….a winning combination. Luxurious but not ‘stuffy’…..the staff were extremely professional and warm, the room was stunning, high quality bed and soft furnishings, scrupulously clean….a view of the castle from the pool! The breakfast was probably the best we have had. The property being family run made a huge difference from staying in a large/chain hotel. It was our daughter’s birthday and they paid special attention to this. Literally zero negatives.

Room was spacious for our family of three with plenty of privacy, loved having a second bathroom. All the old European charm was evident throughout the hotel and our room. Appreciated all the fresh flowers. Appreciated staffs attentiveness.
