The Wi-Fi speed was terrible, it's my first time not using it. The room was a bit dirty: the floor was sticky and there were no slippers. The towels were outdated but clean.

The location is a bit far from the center but it's easy to reach by city transport or scooter in summer if you are young. Breakfast was great! The hotel staff was friendly.

Despite the many fancy cars (rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Ferraris etc) and the obviously rich folks that stay at the Steigenberger I wouldn’t call it 5 star. The checking and check out were poorly staffed with really long waits and lots of people waiting with only one or two staff and this meant that you couldn’t just ask a question or for recommendations/directions as it always took half an hour to speak to reception. The only other gripe was the terrible pillows, I’ve no idea what they were thinking!! No support ‘empty’ flat pillows. But otherwise a nice hotel in a great location

The internet provided was almost unusable and unacceptable for business travel. I had to switch to my cell carrier internet.

Clean up time a bit late, sometimes in the late afternoon. One time cleaning staff just opened the door in the evening without knocking and ringing the bell. Feeling not good.

In the south of Köln, the location is good, a lot of supermarkets and restaurants around. The staff is very friendly, and support me for a adapter. Thank you!

I didn't like the default pillow but they have a pillow menu. And the hotel is over-priced, in my opinion.

Big comfortable room with a good bathroom. I liked the area around the hotel with a lot of groceries and restaurants. The walk to the city center is nice and cozy.

I could hear loud music and people chatting next door , that was really annoying as it was before 7am. The walls not well isolated (delux room 413) There were dead flies near the windows, maybe overlooked by the cleaners as otherwise the room and bathroom was very clean.

Carpet the room please. Shower over the bath is dangerous. I thought it would be a step up from Intercity Hotels but it wasn't.

The hotel merits 3 stars, however 4 (including relevant pricing) is a bit of an exaggeration. BTW, the decoration is very “pale”/uninspiring, resembling a Formula 1, two stars hotel next to a motorway.

Raised prices for the football - but all hotels are cashing in. The air conditioning in the rooms was almost non existent and very ineffective which in 30C temperatures made the rooms uncomfortable and challenging to get a good nights sleep.

Although this Steigenberger misses the Steigenberger wow-factor it is still an excellent hotel situated within a short walking distance of the centre. Or use the tram, tram stops opposite the hotel. Our hotel room was spacious with a view of Cologne Cathedral and the Hahnentor. Bed, walk-in shower, soundproofing, breakfast all very good. Large parking garage under the hotel. Friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay.

In general all good, but prices could be a bit less, despite of centre of the city :)

Spacious room, super big bed, with good mattress, but pillows weren’t comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, and personal at breakfast were friendly :)

The location felt quite far from the main train station, easily walkable if you’re fine with a 30/40 minute walk and there are some really nice coffee boutiques near by and the SS museum is around 15 minutes away too, but when we were walking back from Claudius Therme, it felt never ending 😅

Staff were really friendly, someone was always on reception if you needed anything. Breakfast was great, really well signposted for vegans and vegetarians which makes like so much easier. Coffees weren’t great but the marble cake and the different cheeses and breads were amazing; one of the breakfast team, a chef I think, was exceptionally friendly and always had a huge smile on his face. The room was nice, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a good size too.

Breakfast was expensive (c. 30 euros), but there was a huge range of choice and it was very tasty.

Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bar in the hotel was not overly expensive (nice for a quick drink to chill out before bed time).
