Rooms need maintenance especially the curtains and flooring in some places is slanted. Bed frames were dirty as well.

It's a nice historic property but needs some maintenance. We stayed for 1 night. The night receptionist was helpful and friendly. Beds were comfortable. Room was spacious.

Easy check in. Breakfast from 6:30 if needed. Convenient for the city centre and not to far from the rail station to walk the distance or use a taxi.

The rooms are non-smoking, but my room smelt like some previous guests didn't respect that, and it felt bit stuffy. Maybe it was just a general old hotel smell...

The breakfast room (one of two) in the back is very interesting with baroque decorations and huge old wall paintings.

I booked for this room here on booking.com which states that WITH MINIBAR, but there was none. Instead a closed cabinet with built in stove top and a sink. If we are going to use it we need to go down and ask the reception to borrow kitchen stuffs if we are gonna cook. We didn't have time for that. Although the room was big , but upon seeing no MINIBAR was a big disappointment! When I asked the reception why there was no MINIBAR, the reception reasoned out that it was booking.com responsibility to update the property. To me as frequent traveller and a loyal member of booking.com is not okay. Moreover, I just hope they would do something about the entire carpeted floor as it smells moldy and old and dirty Also some concerns on the safety, we stayed on the top floor room 51. The room was okay, but when we are going out we need to open another door to and go down to use the elevator. What gives us the concern is the staircase that absolutely not safe for any guest.

breakfast was nice, staff were always nice, about the rooms is was big, having a bath tub our of the toilet, and we can still drink beer even at midnight thanks to this awesome guy from Nepal ( sorry I forgot his name} and the other guy on duty at the reception . All of the staff are really nice pleasant and kind.

The sauna was out of order. I would expect this to be mentioned in advance or apologised for or a compensation offered. That was not the case. The access to the saune is via the main hallway/entrance area. i would not want to walk with my bathrobe through that busy area….so i guess i would not have used it anyways. The TV was largely useless, the programs were sorted pretty random and the switching so slow that one gets mad. And on top the signal was terrible. TV may not be a criteria but had a long journey and stressful day and just wanted to watch some Tv….

Fair value for money. I payed 85/night plus 12 € for breakfast. That is feasible especially for the location. It was spotless clean (except TV remote control)Despite the downtown location on a major road the room was very quiet. Breakfast was fine too, not luxurious but not too basic either.

I got there on Christmas eve around 11:00. I asked if there are restaurant around serving warm meal. There wasn't, and the lady kindly asked me generously if I would want to eat from the breakfast buffet. It was for free.

The hotel itself seems to be a bit outdated. Some lights were not working in my room. The walls are not sound proof. Cleanliness in the bathroom could have been better.

The location of the hotel is very good and easily reachable. The hotel has very friendly staff. A good German breakfast with ham, salami and other processed meat, variety of bread, müsli, flakes and other options with fruits, yogurt and milk and of course one should not forget the orange juice! They also allowed me to store the luggage in the hotel after checkout. The main attractive thing about the hotel is the price. It is cheaper than others in the area and I highly appreciate that.
