Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAn excellent concept and brilliant stay. I would go back in a heartbeat. Truly original. I stayed in the Trabant and the railway sleeping carriage and both were comfortable and clean and, in the Trabant’s case, quirky. The communal facilities are very good and plentiful. This stay was superb value. Super friendly and helpful staff. Although the location is out of the centre of Bonn it is well served by public transport, although you can occasionally get caught waiting for a while at the railway level crossing. Highly recommended for stays in Bonn.

GermanyThe socket for plugs was set very high in the sleeping carriage. I needed to stand on the bed to reach it and it was actually difficult to charge my stuff. In the end I sat up in the breakfast area charging my things. The hot water was a bit strange. It came in spurts. I could shower OK but it wasn't 100% consistent. The bike hall was open at night. There were staff on reception but a door at the back was nevertheless open. I locked my bike with 3 locks and there were no issues, but 100% secure would be an overstatement.
What a nice and unique place. It`s an experience to overnight there. I was on a bike tour and could park my bike in the hall. I had a train carriage room. I was worried it might be both hot and noisy. It was neither. I slept very well. The rom is small, especially with 4 bike bags, but I managed fine. The shared toilets and showers were spotlessly clean. The breakfast was outstanding. The breakfast area, overlooking the hall, was very comfortable.

United KingdomBreakfast not the best value for money. Very basic continental. Fairly warm in the hanger, small fans didn’t help much in the caravan

United StatesI reserved an airstream but got the gondola and an extra small one instead because of their overbooking. This was not the experience I wanted because it split up our group. The gondola was not equal to the airstream although I was still charged for it. The outside seating was uncomfortable and there was nowhere to sit inside so you were forced to more public spaces. It was terribly hot inside the building with no air movement inside. The small fans were inadequate for cooling. Some ventilation from the outside and ceiling fans would help. The outside is in need of cleaning up. Get rid of the junky cars and buses and a good mowing would help. There is quite a bit of lighting in the building at night and so therefore both of our sleeping quarters had light inside during the night which didn't make for dark sleeping.
Fun atmosphere. The beds were ok, but very clean. Everyone was very respectful and quiet time was adhered to. The bathrooms were clean and I appreciated a different shower room from the toilet room. If you like museums, it's by the museum mile, so it's a good location for that.

NetherlandsThe finishing inside our caravan was not perfect. Some lights not working, not enough sockets etc. But for just one night that was not a problem at all. And one half of our double bed was not standing 100% flat which was a little bit annoying, but again, not a problem for a short stay.
One-of-a-kind experience. Beautifully designed. Good breakfast. We used it as a stop-over during a road-trip. If you fancy a good German evening meal for a fair price, we can highly recommend Markusschänke (Burbacher Straße).

GermanyIt was not so convenient to climb up to bed. In my compartment, at least, was no ladder. Compartment doors are closing with small barn locks.
For this price it is very good hostel. I had an event in Cologne and the prices there are huge, so to book hostel in Bonn and then use public transport was much cheaper. The hostel itself has good showers and toilets, small kitchen with microwave ofen, kettle and so on.

AustraliaI wish I had my own fridge. There's no cooking facilities, so I would recommend they install a BBQ at least.
What can I say about this place. It's unique, and I'm glad I decided to stay here. I had an Airstream to myself, which was great. The beds are a bit on the short side, but no biggie. The shower facilities were clean and the water was nice and strong and hot. The staff were all friendly but unobtrusive. The location is close to a train station, and a 15 minute ride on an e-scooter into the centre. It's a great budget option that you won't forget.

GermanyIn the train, some guests smoke although it is clearly mentioned that smoking is not allowed. I faced this issue. But fortunately, when I contacted the staff in the middle of the night, they gave me a caravan which was superb. So a smoke detector or something like that would be very useful especially in the train.
This is a different concept. The idea is excellent and all the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is really friendly and helpful.

FinlandNot enough hooks in the room and showers to hang clothes. Would be nice to be able to wipe excess water after showering with a squeegee or so to keep the cabinets clean and dry for the next person.
The bed was comfortable. Despite the open space layout, it was pretty quiet. People respected privacy and quiet hours. The breakfast was really good!

CanadaAbout the only negative was the little camper I was in was too small for me to even lift the table that was inside.
The campers are cute, love the themes. The breakfast (which I didn't have) looked decent enough. Showers had decent water pressure.

AustraliaThe sleeper compartment is very small (obviously) so I kept my large suitcase in a locker overnight. There is an outdoor bbq and a fridge, microwave and kettle inside. that is as far as the self catering facilities go so it might not be suited for longer stays as a solo and budget traveler.
I loved the quirky-ness of the venue and it's set up. It was very interesting to stay in a train sleeper compartment and I feel the set up of the "camp" makes it very easy and natural to meet and hang out with others staying there.

PortugalThe train corridor had a smell to it like foot odor/sweat/people. It wasn't awful but off-putting sometimes. I wouldn't recommend the train for longer stays, but for 1-2 days is totally fine!
This was a very surprising stay in a very good way. The place is extremely creative, cozy, colorful, and really impressive. The environment was relaxing but also playful, and everybody looked like they were having a good time. It kind of felt like camping indoors. We stayed in the train, which had very small but compact rooms, we got our way around it and it was super fun.
