“This is a lovely hotel that has the warm feeling of a family-run business, and is situated in a beautiful area.
The rooms are somewhat basic (no fridge, no coffee corner) but are very comfortable and clean, and all had balconies with a magnificent view of the black forest. We had an amazing dinner in the hotel as well, where the dining room also overlooks that same beautiful scenery. Breakfast was included, and also was incredibly plentiful and tasty. Staff were helpful as we are English speakers and the menus were only in German. There are also many well-marked walking trails of varying lengths starting right from the hotel, we did two of them and really enjoyed ourselves. We definitely recommend a stop here, or even just a meal if you are passing through.”
“Food in the evening was very nice .. lots of options and well-cooked. The breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable but the bed was a little hard and there was nothing to the pillow which made it difficult for me to sleep - but that is personal opinion only. The hotel is in the middle of Heppenheim on the market square and has its own car park, so excellent location in the old town.”
“Breakfast is a buffet eat as much as you like. However next time i return the increase to £21 i will walk to one of the many coffee shops. The breakfast is lovely but for me not worth the price.”
“Perfect location - a very short walk into the town centre. Set down a quiet road, but very easily reachable. A lovely apartment, bright and spacious, with a cute balcony, a big comfy sofa, and a lovely fireplace (which we didn't need, but I would imagine is fantastic in the winter).
I don't want to put this as "something I didn't like", but English guests should be aware that the host speaks no English, so make sure you've brushed up on your German! That is 100% my shortcoming and I am not criticising her whatsoever.”
