Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

PanamaMy weeklong visit in Prague was a very good experience. Suki is a good host. He helped me with directions, money exchange and the accommodation met my expectations. Apartment is conveniently located for me to travel the city and was easy to find. Check in was easy, bed clean and shared bath worked fine…shower in room. It’s a good value in my opinion.

Acres of space in the room; little balcony overlooking Zitna road; total privacy; clean toilets; powerful shower. Around 1-2 km walking to everything of importance. Paid just over 120 Euros for 2 nights in this prime spot. Hostel dorms cost more! Whenever I come to Prague next, I will stay here. Sauki was efficient and helpful on arrival. Overall, a superb experience.

UkraineIt was nice to have a kettle and a fridge in the room and the micro in the hall but it is not enough for self-catering if someone needs this option.
The locations is wonderful and the host was absolutely accommodating. The room is quite big and comfortable. It has a small table and a sofa so it is good enough to study and to have a snack. The bed is comfortable. It was a good stay there.

SwitzerlandThe whole property is a bit shabby, but again - totally good for the price. Some stains on the bedsheets and curtains. What is really missing - a big mirror. In my room there was only a small mirror in the bathroom which is too high for a 165cm person, had to use it on my tiptoes. Shower head can't be fixed on the wall - you can only shower when you hold it in your hands. Windows are facing a very noisy street with street lights - but this can be easily fixed by earplugs and face mask, don't forget it.
Good location for sightseeing, a short walk to main attractions. Very nice and friendly owner. The room was clean. Great pressure of hot water in the shower. Overall - great value for money.

HungaryIn the neighbour building there was a big party till the morning so we couldn't really sleep. The next day we told the owner and after that there was no problem.
The owner was really nice and the staff was really helpful. We had a small room but it was perfect for the price. The 2 common bathrooms and toilets were really clean.

The double/twin room we had was very nice, comfortable and spacious. We also a little balcony which was a very nice touch. Our host Sauki was very very helpful and gave us little ideas of places to visit and foods to try out. Location is also walking distance to almost everything!
