Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ChileIn our room, the outlets didn’t work properly, and as a personal inquiry, I think AC or some fans are missing for these hot summer days
The facilities are just beautiful, everything is clean, the staff is friendly, they have pet friendly rooms and even at the restaurant they will be very attentive to your dog

NorwayIt was a very warm weekend, but a ventilator in the room made this ok. Beds are a bit hard, but no big deal. There could have been some water bottles and coffee machine in the room.
Very nice central hotel in Ceska Lipa with very good value for money. Comfortable rooms with a view of the town centre and also very close to the event we were attending. Breakfast was very good and complete with a good re-fill rate. Friendly staff all over and also a nice restaurant and terrace at the hotel. Parking available at some cost during the week - weekends free from 12:00. Will definitely be back if there are other sport events near by in the future.

Kind waitresses speaking good english some german. Breakfast is far better than basic, but not top notch. Good value for money

Czech RepublicThe room we stayed in had the window covered by a wall.
Breakfast was great, with plenty of options and tasty. I stayed for two nights and always had different things to try. Although, the restaurant during the night does not have many options on the menu.

SlovakiaIn some areas the WiFi is very poor, depending where your room is it’s a bit of a maze, a few connecting buildings. The breach fast is good but the fried eggs are made at 06:00 so by 08:00 you can play football with them.
It’s a good place to stay, direct centre, easy to get too, clean room, good restaurant but little expensive for the area.

GermanyThe variety of food a bit small. Unfortunately they opened only a small part of the restaurant area for the breakfast from the beginning, So the atmosphere during the breakfast wasn't relaxed and so comfortable. . Later they opened a second area and it calmed down a lot. Bad organization, of the buffet. the staff was super friendly, but the communication in English was problematic. I wish there would free parking for the guests.
The interieur was just magnificent. Tge staff in the restaurant was very kind and lovely. The atmosphere in the bar was super nice! Because of a car breakdown, we needed a place for the night. And the city hotel Morris was like a present, the staff was helpful and friendly, the room was absolutely nice and comfortable. We'll love to come back for a longer stay 😊

LithuaniaThe room had kitchen but no equipment for the kitchen. We stayed 3 person for 3 nights and in the bathroom we had only one toiletry kit. The floor of the room was broken. Plates in breakfast restaurant was dirty, only one coffee machine for so many people. Not enough tables and food at breakfast. It is 4 starts hotel but we felt like in 2 stars hotel or even less. Highly disappointed because when we paid for 4 starts, we expect 4 starts.
The location of the hotel. The size of the room. The design of the hotel and wine for the breakfast.

United KingdomI know that taking dogs everywhere is now the norm and dog lovers will vigorously defend their 'right' to do so, but I personally find the sight of dogs in the breakfast room repulsive and do not like seeing them in the hotel corridors.
A fine old building of much character overlooking the main square. Staff were helpful, polite and friendly. Nearby there were a varied range of cafes, restaurants etc. Good breakfast. It was blissfully quiet at night.

HungaryIt is complicated to find the other hotel building. Unfortunately, wellness is not that simple. You have to pay to use the wellness and you must pay for private sessions. (even if you didn't want a private session) Or your other option is you can use the wellness for free at the time when the private sessions are sold. Makes no sense... or in other words: unfair.
Breakfast was good. Big car park right behind the hotel. Cheap in comparison with other hotels in the area.

Czech RepublicThe wellness area had some issues with the chlorine smell, but was quiet and comfortable. The kitchen area in the room was unnecessary because it didn't have any equipment to use. The massage was a bit short and we accidentally got overcharged at checkout.
The room was great with comfortable beds and utilities. Large bathroom, great for kids. The breakfast was excellent as well as the dinner at the restaurant. Staff were very helpful even though they had a very busy day.
