To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomReally don't like the shower fixing which you cant properly stand under and doesn't allow you to put it below head height, and didn't particularly like the small living space with low tables, that weren't easy to use for anything - too low for either making coffee or working. The most frustrating thing about this visit though was the other guests. There was a lot of noise - it is an old building so noise is expected but the front door needs fixing, and you will probably need earplugs. I think having no reception overnight encourages guests to stand around in the lobby, and make noise.
The room had everything I needed for a short stay. Bed was big, pillows comfy. Sofa was also fine for sitting for a while. Bedroom had bedside tables (the last time I stayed here I didn't have one, which was frustrating). Curtains blocked the light very well, fridge was quiet and clean, lighting was good. Wardrobe had a good selection of hangers. Basic stuff, but important to get right (and many don't!).

United KingdomOur shower was broken and whilst it worked the fitting on the wall was bust and so you needed to hand hold the shower, the seal on the shower had also obviously bust as the floor flooded even before having a shower and a lot more when you did. The bathroom door was also very stiff.

GermanyThe hand shower water flow was very inadequate. The water flow was so slow that it took a long time to finish shower. The bedroom had only 2 pillows and there were no extra pillows. Although we asked for extra but they forgot to provide us.
Location, room and the cleanliness was great. each room had separate television. The room was equipped with coffee machine and refrigerator. Bed was good to sleep and room had a lot of windows with ample amount of light. We took the 4th floor room.

GreeceIt's always a plus for me if the hotel offers breakfast and, unfortunately, that was not an option, only a cafe nearby that was suggested by the hotel. That was pretty much the negative.
The location of the hotel was a big plus for us, because we had the chance to walk and explore the city. The room was spacious and really warm, which was really nice because outside there was like 6 degrees Celsius. The room did not have a kitchen, but it was okay because we wouldn't cook or anything for the 4 days that we were there.
