I didn't try any of the restaurants because they were too pricey and honestly, I think that might've been for the best because that allowed me and my partner to go to the town nearby and get the food that was incredibly tasty and for affordable pricing.

I loved the room, the amenities was great and the staff were super friendly. They were always so kind and whenever I had aa questions, they happily answered.

Their menus did not exactly match what the meal was. Need to work on their translations and their adhearence to the described menu.

Food at Lava Lounge restaurant was just okay. It was not bad, but it was nothing special. However, the view and ambience was amazing, just the food was okay. This hotel greatly exceeded my expectations though otherwise and I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling Fortuna/Arenal - our 6 night stay was amazing.

Staff are very attentive, helpful and friendly. Room was big, very nice, and clean. View of volcano is amazing from 4th floor room. 8 minute taxi ride to town center from hotel ($10 USD). Can walk to Baldi hot spring from hotel if that is on your list of things to do. Most excursions will pick you up from hotel. Nice breakfast buffet that is included. Private taxi that was booked to get to and from SJO airport was super easy (2.75 hour scenic ride with ability to stop for bathroom/food breaks)

Breakfast is good probably for most people, but it is not what we are used to. Eggs are called creamy but they are overcooked and with cooking cream on top. The cook at the station cannot do eggs that are not overly cooked. Plenty of fruits available which is fantastic.

the room we got had AC issues every night. the digital thermostat kept turning off and making the room impossible to get a good nights rest. the hotel engineer plus some staff tried a couple of times to rectify the problem to no avail. finally i had enough and on the last night the manager put us in the master suite. it was awesome. got a good nights sleep the last night. she also gave us complimentary spa treatments which were fantastic. so the resort made up for the inconveniences. thank you

everything was excellent. we had a nice dinner on premises one night. the staff are very friendly helpful and accomodating. the thermal pools are relaxing. the one cold pool is nice too but its not that cold like all pools here because of the warm climate.

Everything was excellent, I would suggest having a few larger and deeper natural thermal pools and a hotter steam room would be my only suggestion. Otherwise it was an excellent hotel that I will return to.

We had lunch at the pool bar and dinner in the two restaurants. The dinner menu before 6pm is the same as the lunch menu, and that wasn't great. The dinner menu after 6pm was very good.

Fantastic room, breakfast, pools and staff. The staff were always there to help and were sincerely friendly. Some of the best staff we've ever experienced in a hotel/resort.

High cost of room; food options in the fourth floor restaurant weren't very local. I wish there were more cooking options among the tours. I couldn't do any high-adventure tours because of an injury, and so I didn't sign up for any tours. But I would have signed up for one that included more cultural experience such as learning how to cook something local or improving my Spanish or learning an art/craft form, if there had been that option.
