Hotel Secreto is fantastic! Excellent value, central location, rooms are spotless and very comfortable. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a room with a beautiful volcano view, and spent hours floating in the pool looking up at Arenal. The garden is lovely, lots of hummingbirds and butterflies, as well as Dany the sloth!

I would recommend them to install better blackout curtains as it was a bit bright in the morning but that also helped us to be up early and enjoy more time in arenal

It is right in the town so we walked everywhere. There are two sloths in a tree right in the hotel which was pretty cool. The pool was very nice and it was convenient to have the breakfast included

The location is amazing and super close/walking distance to multiple restaurants etc. The staff was great and super friendly. The included breakfast was a nice touch as well and fresh. Can't forget to mention Danny......who else has a resident sloth for a mascot to greet guests.

We loved the location of this hotel, right on the edge of downtown, walkable to many bars/restaurants, grocery stores, markets etc. The grounds of the hotel are stunning, all rooms look out onto a lush garden, there are 2 small plunge pools perfect for cooling off and a great view of the volcano. Staff were very welcoming, as soon as we arrived we were shown 2 sloths, amazing! The breakfast was delicious, the room was a standard size hotel room with a comfortable king size bed and great AC.

Sloths on the property … including a baby! Staff were so helpful pointing them out. Beautiful gardens with a great view of the volcano. Pool was very clean. Really good breakfast. We loved everything about this hotel.

Great view for the volcano when the weather is nice. The garden is amazing with beautiful flowers and birds. Well equipped, cozy room, hotel stuff was really friendly, the pool was nice. The breakfast was okay, not really special. It is close to the center of the town, many restaurants are nearby.

We were surrounded with beautiful flowers and birds at the hotel. Great views of the volcano! The rooms were comfortable and clean. It was also an easy walk to the town for restaurants...We enjoyed the breakfast and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Andres and Ulie did a fantastic job assisting us with tours, transportation, and restaurants. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Probably the best choice of a hotel in La Fortuna town - spotlessly clean room, incredibly friendly staff, amazing garden and of course, the volcano view. 5 min walk to all restaurants, sodas ans shops in La Fortuna. There is a resident 🦥 and we had numerous sitings of iguanas and birds.

This is the best place to stay in LA fortuna town if you don't have a car and still want to feel like you are in the jungle. Highly recommend booking a superior king room on the second floor. This was better than the other room we had.

Pool was small for the number of guests. It was always busy when I went by.

Location was great. Central to everything you might need but still felt secluded. The room was spacious and the A/C worked well. Breakfast was good too and there were nice volcano views.

The mattress was too hard. No space in bathroom for toiletries and lighting was very poor.
