The entry road was a bit rough and many steps to get to the room.

Simple rooms, but very clean and in a gorgeous setting right in the middle of nature. Staff was amazing and the restaurant was the best food we had the entire trip.

There are many stairs up to the cabins - that was ok with us but might not work well for anyone not in good shape or with knee problems.

The location is lovely and the staff were wonderful. Food in the attached restaurant is very good and we absolutely loved the breakfasts. We saw monkeys and many types of birds from our deck.

For 3 star, the style and provision of the accommodation was as expected, but price for 3* was high. The place trades at this 4* price due to such a wonderful location. Provision of everything you need and more, such as shower, fridge, air con (it is often oppressively hot and humid), towels, breakfast etc is there, but certainly not all at a luxury standard. We really enjoyed Jinetes de Osa due to the views and proximity to the beach, but it is rough around the edges compared to other well located places we have stayed in Costa Rica for less.

Wonderful and exceptional location. Helpful staff who work as a team. Good food and good service at the associated restaurant/grill & cocktail bar.

There is a serious issue with the "superior" rooms. At the same price, rooms 1-4 (where we stayed) do not have private verandas, and share very thin walls, while the rooms up above are very private individual bungalows and spacious for the same price. The only disadvantage to staying on top is the 150 step climb up the stairway. There is also a small kitchen up top, but not even a way to heat water or coffee down below. Also, the on-site restaurant was a disappointment. The staff are very nice, but they try to present (not always successfully) fancier food when all we wanted was simple, local ingredients.

Jinetes de Osa has some amazing staff! Ashley can make anything work; she is amazingly good at her job. The excursions are well worth the expense, thanks to Rolando, who is very clearly better at what he does than any other guides we crossed. Definitely take the Corcovado Reserve trip with him. The included breakfast was exactly what we expected and wanted during our stay--not fancy, but closer to what people there might be eating.

There was quite a steep climb to the rooms, and you get very hot by the time you get to the top but you get used to it and it's worth the climb!

The hotel had lovely views - we were in a jungle view to start and then switched to a sea view - both were lovely.

WE loved the location of the hotel right on Drake Bay. Dake Bay is superb - fabulous walk staright from the hotel along the coast past forest and pristine beaches. Our guide from the hotel to visit Corcovado National Park by boat was superb. He was very knowegable and caring about the Osa Peninsula and its wildlife. We had a detached suite with great views of the sea and a good balcony. The downside was the dated furniture and decoration. Also 200 steps up from the beach which we managed but a struggle in the heat. The restaurante served great evening meals.

The room we had (number 9) could do with a bit of a makeover. The bathroom was not that inviting and the mosquito mesh around the windows had many holes, so we had to use bug repellent during the night.

The location is beautiful, the hotel has its own small beach right in front. The breakfast choice was great as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is for people who like being in nature away from the crowds. The walk to the centre is not challenging but you need a torch at night.

Fairly basic room for the price. Booked dinner at the hotel restaurant for 7.30pm, were told when we sat down that it was very late to be eating and the kitchen was closing soon so had to eat in a rush.

Great location at the end of the main beach. Friendly and relaxed staff. Beautiful views from the terrace bar and restaurant. Additional tours available to book through the hotel.

basically No big things to complain about But to mention: Servixe in breakfast (not same as lunch/dinner which is a separate restaurant and Staff) not Very service minded But No big deal. Beach outside hotel not Really swimming-friendly. it is quite a hike to nicer beaches like Cocalito , around 25-30 minutes through the forest. Very beatiful But also a bit heavy, a bit up and downs and stairs which is heavy in the heat and humidity. Be aware also that the sea is quite wild with big Waves and currents so not super easy and accessionen for lazy swimming.

Staff is knowledgeable, helpful and great! anvisning on tours and What to do. views are amazing both from room and restaurant. We stayed in deluxe room /bungalow (room 11) which is up on the hill. as previous reviews mentioned, it Really is 150 steps in the stairs to get up there. it is kind of heavy actually and especially in the heat so be senare if you are not up for it. def worth it though as it the only rooms with air condition which is a must here if you Ask me. Views from the veranda is amazing and private feeling to it. Birding tour was great with Rolando! Breakfast is good . some hot options, cereals and fresh fruit. restaurant for lunch and dinner is great and best in the area. def a bit pricey But Really good. Staff Very friendly. Great place all in all!

We ended up with a room on our return from Corcovado that did not have air conditioning.

Restaurant and staff there are outstanding. Be prepared for 150 plus steps to some rooms. The good part is that you get a great view. There is a good 15 minute walk to town but it is beautiful!

The view was amazing. I felt my room and the hotel itself wasn’t well maintained. For example-The curtain on the sliding door was ripped , the rugs in the bathroom were dirty and worn, the lampshade needs to be replaced, the pillows on the deck chairs were shabby.

Breakfast was Ok …….dinner was exceptional but that was not included.
