I usually don’t write reviews, but I loved this hotel so much I feel they deserve special recognition. Older hotels can often be a little shabby despite renovations, but this place has both cosy, old world charm while achieving standards for cleanliness, upkeep, and comfort equal to the best hotels. Being a short and easy walk to the bus and train station as well as the city center, it was in a perfect location. Staff at the desk were welcoming, helpful, and efficient, and without my asking, helped me carry my luggage up the stairs since there is no elevator. My room was nicely proportioned, quiet, and very cosy. Breakfast was great. There is also a nice little lounge in the reception area with tea and coffee for fika alone or with others. (And for a delicious fika treat, check out Bageri 96° on Stora Torget!) I only wish I could have stayed here more than one night!

Very responsive staff and trying to accommodate us in every way possible. The property is newly renovated and the rooms have reasonable size and are well furnished. Shared showers and toilets but fully renovated. The common kitchen and big common living room look so nice. It wasn't fully booked which made for a calm and pleasant stay with no queue in the common bathrooms.

The ventilation system and the fridge in the room were a bit too loud.

Breakfast was good. Would like to have seen more fresh fruit. Our other hotels on this trip had many more varieties of fruit. Really appreciate the playroom for the kids. I wasn’t traveling with any but thought it was very thoughtfuly placed.

I design hotels for a living so I am likely pickier than most but I thought the overall design was strange. The built in boxes along the window weren’t useful and just felt like space fillers. The box under the bed which stuck out 6” or more behind the mattress felt hazardous. I stubbed my toe multiple times. I was also disappointed that you have no California Chardonnay’s on your wine list but that was similar to most of my trip in Sweden.

The woman at the front desk maybe the wife of the owner but she is so nice and pleasant. Seemed like she wore multiple hats but was always kind whenever a million people asked her for different things at the same time!

I don't know if it was the blankets but I got a rash on my arms. Seemed to go away after leaving the hotel. More of a little inconvenience really.

Room was very small. Hard to keep the bathroom floor dry as water will come out of the shower. Hotel has provided a small squeegee and that helps but the design of the Showers is beyond our comprehension, honestly.

Due to inoperative electronic keys I wasn’t able to get into my room during self check-in. The host doesn’t offer a 24/7 front desk nor did the two designated support telephone numbers work. Late at night, after a long and exhausting travel day, I had to find a new accommodation.
