I took my girlfriend to El Riande Hotel for her birthday week, and it was an incredible experience that exceeded our expectations. On our way from the airport it took a little over a hour due to rush hour traffic (so, travelers budget your time for that). On our way to the hotel a couple days later, the trip back was only about 25 mins (we checked out of the hotel and headed for the airport around 1040AM). The hotel features a lovely swimming pool and a relaxing jacuzzi (We didn’t use those amenities). They offer breakfast from 7 AM to 10 AM, and while the options are simple and somewhat limited, I appreciated this as it helped me avoid overeating. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Although we didn't dine at the hotel for dinner, we did take advantage of their tour services, and Kathy was particularly amazing. We will certainly be returning to El Riande Hotel.

Lovely, spacious and bright apartment. The balcony offers a nice view of a beach nearby. The bedroom is separate from the living room so it's nice and dark to properly sleep! There was a small problem with the AC when I first checked in but it was very quickly resolved. Communication with the host is optimal, very quick response times. Extra services such as early check-in and late checkout were also very much appreciated.

We loved the location and the property. It was so beautiful, and tucked away in this small town in the mountains. There were tons of birds around, and the hiking and birdwatching tours were amazing! The staff were also pretty helpful, though could be hard to find at some times because we were there during a slow time.

The food at the property was ok, pretty much average Panamanian food on the days that we were there, and we were there during a slow time so the restaurant wasn't consistently open. Otherwise, it was great!

The huge bathtub is great and the retro elegant vibe of the hotel is very comfortable.

Room 307 was in disrepair: strong mold smell, incredibly high humidity in the room, visible water leak damage and crude repairs on all sides of the bathroom walls, ventilation fan in bathroom not working, mold growing on the wall in multiple places in and around bathroom, squeaky ancient spring mattress, only 1 towel and no mat for 2 guests. Replacement towels were old and ragged.
