Positive section of review
Like a home stay. Terje, the home owner, is a great character. Helpful instructions on how to get to his house. He is full of personality. He took us out on his boat, he cooked us crab and showed us how to eat it, we shared a meal and he took us to the airport so early in the morning. He was kind and shared with us about his life. We learnt a lot about Norway and Terje and we will never forget our stay.

It made us smile how unnecessarily complicated and long it is to go from your room to the restaurant. We were laughing at how you'd be hungry again by the time you got back to the room. So that's positive... Jokes aside, the staff was very friendly.

This hotel probably used to be very good and deserved the "quality" label. Right now, however, it's in serious need of renovation. It has its self-esteem but it's very obvious it's no longer justifiable. Also, to pay for parking at a hotel at the end of the city with a huge parking area, is just plain ridiculous, especially given the prices of the rooms. Finally, the bed was quite uncomfortable.

In an excellent location, comfortable room with all necessities and functional space. Very good breakfast, helpful and polite staff. Walking distance to many sights, stores, restaurants and close to multiple transportation stops.

The smell of fish from the adjacent restaurant was spread in the common areas but thankfully not in the rooms.

We wanted a convenient location to sleep before hiking to Preikestolen - and in this way it was perfect. The host was friendly and helpful and the cabin has a lot of charm. Also, beds were comfy!

It's not the cleanest place - it's full of things and not very tidy. However this also gives the place charm, so it's not really a negative - all depends on preference.

Fairly modern and nice place to stay, very close to the city centre. Convenient having a kitchen and a washing machine. We were greeted by a friendly note from the host upon checking in.

Very little response from the host. If you want to use the sleeping option in the living room (sofabed), I advise on contacting the owner beforehand, as there was no extra sheet to use and we couldn't get hold of the host. Apparently he was on holiday himself, so maybe it is usually easier. Also, dishwasher didn't work, but not a big problem to do the dishes by hand.

Fantastic location close to metro and easy journey into central Oslo. Very nice area with shops and cafes. Nicely decorated and had everything we needed for our short stay.
