Positive section of review
Its location was perfect, right in the middle of mountains and we could see waterfall from the property. There was a properly equipped shared kitchen on the site and washrooms (even if shared) were clean. There was also a restaurant on the site (we didn’t have time to try the restaurant, but the restaurant setting looked good). There was a food truck on site on Monday and Tuesday, but again, we didn’t have time to try it.

You need to walk at least a km from the train station to reach the property. Washrooms are a bit far from the cabins. There is no air con in the cabin. The heater worked well in June, but not sure, if it will be enough for colder months.

The view was what we asked for with clear line of sight of the Matterhorn. The breakfast was good with both hot and cold options. The pictures for the breakfast are misleading as it shows more of a cold selection only. There are various breads, a large selection of cheeses, of course the yogurts and then a small selection of hot food consisting of eggs, bacon, sausage and beans.

The staff was a bit short and rude. The room (2 rooms) is misleading from the pictures. It consists of a kitchenette upon walking in a small dining table and a couch converting into a bed which is fine. I would have written the description as a suite as there is no separate bedroom although there are 2 bathrooms.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location right next to the train station meant we did not need to carry our luggage thru the busy city streets. Balcony view of the Eiger is spectacular when the weather cooperates. A good breakfast was included.

There was construction going on at the train station and across the street in the back, but that is no fault of the hotel.

Location was great. Very easy to go anywhere in the city. My 10 year old daughter loved that there was a very nice playground just a few steps from the hotel. The room was pretty, the bed was comfortable and they had a small, but convenient minibar.

The A/C is central, so if it’s not 25C outside it won’t be turned on. It was not close to 25, but sunny, so it was very hot at night. The street is noisy, there’s no way you can keep your windows open when you go to sleep. The pillows are AWFUL! They only give you one pillow per person and it was not comfortable at all. The staff wasn’t friendly, they barely acknowledged us and didn’t make us feel welcome.

Our plane connection was missed, so we had to find lodging for a night. The property was very clean & well kept. Location was close to airport & they took us into the Zurich airport the next day. Good breakfast, too.

Excellent location if you are traveling by train as the hotel is right across the street! Staff were amazing and breakfast was excellent!

Our room was on street side and was a little noisy because it was warm and we had to open the window. I would ask for room in the back if it is warm out! Otherwise it was very nice!
