I loved the location, it was very close to an Epicurean, so that was handy for snacks and bits and pieces. The beach was fantastic, it was just outside the hotel so definitely couldn't fault that. And when it wasn't raining, this is where I spent all my time. The breakfast, lunch and dinners were very good, with loads of choice. Sometimes too much as it made it difficult to know what to have. The last evening, I sat in the outside dining area to have my meal, it has heavenly. The outside bars, well stocked and the daily cocktails were delicious. The Coconut Grill was open on the dry days, the jerk chicken wrap is a must. The room safe, sounds silly, but there was no combination to remember. You were given the whole lock which was slotted into the safe. So you used your key to lock it, and then take the whole lock out to open it - fantastic.

The major spoiler during breakfast, lunch and dinner was the birds flying in and out of the serving and dining areas. Pointless having the netting up only to leave doors open! If you walked away from your table you had to make sure everything was covered or 1) the birds would be away with it or 2) they poop on it. Some of the chairs were covered in bird mess. I was on the ground floor and for the 3 nights I stayed there was a loud annoying humming sound coming from a plant room. It was like a giant air conditioning unit or an incinerator or something. Very annoying and it went on all night long. Workers started at the hotel very early, sometimes as early as 06.30 (which I understand they need to do) however the banging about (dustbins being emptied, recycle vans being filled with engines running, workers talking loudly and general cleaning noises) was not particularly restful. Not all the walkway lights were working so in places it was quite dark. A security, health hazard waiting to happen. It rained for 1.5 days during my stay. In places there were very large puddles of water and wet patches. The hotel tried their best to mop these up, but a few non slip mats in these places would have helped.

Great staff looking after your needs.

No elevator access anywhere in the resort. Large amounts of seaweed coming ashore at the beach making it unusable. Rusted appliances everywhere.
