I didnt like that although before there were organized programmes for the evening, when i was there, they gave only recommendations on where to go. If you r in Cali for the salsa, its essential to find other people to go out together as Cali is not the safest town. So this was a big defect of the place, and inother salsa hostels this worked better...

Nice pool. It would be very easy to arrive there and not even leave the property to explore Cali, it's very relaxing and comforting. The staff is very nice, very pleasant and helpful. WiFi is good.

I was in room 13 and Wi-Fi signal wasn't strong enough to have a continuous connection.

The room was big and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff was kind and nice. It's a place to relax and enjoy Cali. They offer yoga and salsa classes and by night, they take you to iconic party places in the city.

I stayed 1 night in a big nice private room and extended in the biggest dorm. Private was very comfortable but a bit too hot as there is no window giving onto the outside, only the door so difficult to leave it open for privacy. The fan does help. In the big dorm you find some single beds so that's great. 12 is a lot of people but for the price it's good and for 1 night is more than enough. Hostel itself is great, with big plants giving you the feeling you are outside in nature and forgetting you are in the middle of Cali. Common spaces are very nice, pool is the best way to gather guests and make new friends. Some free activities (yoga, dancing) and they take you to some clubs too. Walking distance to restaurants (ok during the day). I didn't feel like cooking (they sell food) so I can't comment on the kitchen.

We had an inconvenience, which occurred due to lack of proper communication however I must say the hotel staff stepped up and offered solutions which we greatly enjoyed. If you are Colombian remember that you need to pay IVA on top of the price from Booking.com. Which is a pity there is no mention of that elsewhere on booking. Fortunately we were 4 and 2 of us were foreigners with international ID card which meant we didn´t have to pay IVA as reservation holder.

Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. Really decent private bedroom with bathroom. Breakfast limited but for my us it was enough¨: scrambled eggs of 3 choices or fried egg, with bread and a bit of fruit. Too bad they had no butter but that is not common in Colombia haha , fresh juice also served (i really liked the Mora one). Coffee too very good as it´s from grains and not instant. They do take time though. Breakfast apparently starts at 8:30 but in reality they only come to start prepping the breakfast at 8:30 so like coffee isnt ready till almost 9am. That´s a minus if you need to leave early. SALSA classes are amazing. Everyday free group class, and we also availed of a private class which was great and we learned so much with Laura. She´s great. GRACIAS. I really liked the chef´s vegetarian lunch he prepared. Portion was huge and very tasteful!

It would be helpful to have more offerings/support of activities outside the city.

I stayed at La Vaina for 4 nights and lived Cali’s magic at it’s max! The hostel is in a beautiful colonial house in the heart of Cali with great open spaces, palm trees, chilled pool, nice bar, hammocks etc. The staff are cool, the food is delicious and the crowd is friendly. Most people come here to dance and are open to bringing new people on a night out. That being said, it’s not a rowdy place- it’s good for sleeping too. The hostel offers complementary group salsa and yoga classes and private salsa lessons can be booked. Wifi is good for video calls in the upper floor deck. I had a great time here and will definitely be coming back!

We were not informed that they wouldn't enter the room, so nobody cleaned it during our stay. No pressure for hot water which was not really hot.

Breakfast and bar was very nice. Good food. Salsa classes and yoga were great. Got to meet lots of people from the hostel. They had a group chat where we went and did things as a group. Very inclusive! Probably our favorite hostel out of our whole trip.

Staff was super helpful and friendly. Bar and restaurant were both good and reasonably priced. The landscaping was beautiful and the night frogs making noise was so relaxing. Clean rooms. Salsa lessons & nightly activities offered Monday - Saturday. Great location.

Very friendly and professional stuff, very clean (the rooms got cleaned every day), good and cheap breakfast, they offer free salsa lessons and night activities, but it's not a party hostel. The atmosphere was always very chilled. For us, it was the best hostel we stayed so far during our trip in Colombia.

The pool could do with a better filter ..it is certainly no as clean as it used to be . This is only reason I didn't give it 10 out of 10

I always stay here when I'm in Cali ..it's location is great . The staff and mega friendly and it's really clean . You get a free group salsa lesson a day and the staff take it in turns to take you out dancing to various salsa clubs at the weekend. The vibe is chilled and very Caleño 😊
