Beautiful hostal very close to Tayrona park and easy to get to/from Santa Marta. The bus stops literally at the doorstep of the place. The couple who owned the place were very friendly and happy to give lots of tips on the area. Room itself was basic but comfortable. Bare In mind there’s no hot water but you won’t need it with the heat! Pool was also lovely.

We stayed in one of the villas, the rooms didn't have air con but did have a couple of fans. Only having one bathroom for five people wasn't ideal although we could use the shower next to the pool in a pinch. No bin in the room either.

The photos don't do this Hostel justice, the gardens around the huts and the surrounding mountain are amazing. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the pool is decent, and the food is great. Getting the bus to Tayrona National Park was super easy too, wait on the main road for next bus (blue, white, and green, running every 10/15 minutes) and be at the main park entrance in 7 minutes. Would also recommend going to Mendihuaca beach (pronounced mendy-whacker), use the same bus as Tayrona, just a few stops further down.

Internet is intermittent, towels are not replaced even after 3 days but that’s expected in a hostel. Stairs could be an issue for some.

Nice location almost walking distance from El Zaino Entrance to Tayrona NP Clean pool. Ok breakfast.

The location was key as we were heading to Tayrona National park which was only a short shuttle away. Not many other attractions near by though. We needed to be back in Santa Marta at 5am to catch our shuttle back to Cartagena and the staff arranged that for us at 4am which was very helpful! No wifi unless you are up at the reception area. They only serve breakfast which we didn't have time for so didn't get a chance to try it. There are a few restaurants near by with great food though! All in all a great place to stay for the value!

Cabin was close to the road. Trucks and motorcycles sounded like they were in the cabin until late at night.

little out the way, you are on a main road so you can’t really walk anywhere. however motor taxis and buses. the restaurant wasn’t open so only had breakfast so had to go out for food and no kitchen area. it was super quite but that’s not a negative to most but we did think it might be more hostal vibe. but maybe that is just in the name.

The water supply was a little unreliable - this is an issue affecting the area and not the hostel’s fault, but be aware that 24/7 running water is not likely!

extremely noisy - if you stay in the lower bungalow you won’t be able to sleep. it’s by express way with trucks passing for the whole night :(. and there is no hot water in the shower. it’s not even designed to have hot water :)

Our room was placed right next to the road which made it hard to sleep the first night. The other nights went better.

- the food at the restaurant was some of the best we have eaten throughout our trip in Colombia, the included breakfast was great as well - the staff were very friendly and helpful with information on how to get around - walking distance to the park entrance (20mins) and east to flag down a bus to Santa Marta - the design of the hotel was well done, buildings were charming, and the landing was a nice view of the jungle - room was comfortable, dry, well insulated from the rain outside and highly functional mosquito net for the bed

The room itself was clean, but there were always bugs coming in on the floor room, as the door is not closed enough at the bottom. Walls were not cleaned either. Shower is cold.

The oudoor space, the view and the pool is stunning! Birds signing and relaxing place, near plaza and tayrona. Perfect location. Included breakfast was very tasty !

There was a big storm while we were there, so there were a couple of electricity cuts implying no water. However, the staff gave us another hut and they fixed it as soon as they could. Things that happen in the middle of nature.

The place is absolutely beautiful. It feels like being in the middle of the jungle. The huts are very nice and the swimming pool is really cool. The staff was very friendly as well and the place is super close to Tayrona. Even though it's in the middle of nothing, it's easy to get there from Santa Marta just by taking a bus from the central market. Totally recommended

The location was perfect, loved that it was set into the trees where you can hear and see lots of birds. The family and staff were helpful, food was a little slow to arrive though. All-in-all, it’s been one of my favourite places to stay to truly relax!
