The hotel is in a beautiful location, surrounded by greenery, which is relaxing. The rooms are comfortable and have amenities that come in handy. The service is good with availability for late check ins.

Internet did not work… warm water took time… the house is close to the road and depending on the room there may be some noise. instructions upon arrival were a bit scarce and was not given keys to the room at the end… but l was so tired l enjoyed the poshness and went to sleep!

The house is beautiful and the suite is very spacious and with a view to the lush garden. Unfortunately l stayed there for one night on a work trip and could not enjoy the amazing pool and outdoor area!

Excellent small hotel. The location is spectacular and just outside before entering Armenia. Beautifull view. Staff were awesonefrom the minute you enter the location Breakfast excellent. The villa is new and just beautifull and very fine decoration according to the area. Very good swimming pool and jacuzzi. I highly recomend it . Very relaxing place.

The room was in need of a little refurbishment. The windows are not of the greatest quality and one of the windows didn't close at all - the lock was broken and you couldn't push it closed from the outside either. A number of areas in the room and bathroom have been affected by water ingress, both from the outside and the shower. When I booked, I thought that I had booked sowewhere with air conditioning. Was I not paying attention, or did the room description change? Either way, our room did not have air-con. The spiky light fitting above reception - I banged my head into it when bending forward to sit down. It looks great, and if you are not very tall it is not a problem. But I am 6'3" / 190cm and it is at just the right height for me to bash my head into the spikes. PLEASE either move the reception desk forward, or install the light much higher. This is not the experience you want when checking in!!

The staff were absolutely fantastic - they make the place. I can't speak highly enough of them. The jacuzzi - we were prompted to book a slot for it when we checked in and it was very relaxing before dinner. The dinner - the chef cooked the most beautifully tender Lomo Saltado that I have had in South America. The indoor / outdoor flow in the communal areas. This includes that tables where we ate dinner and breakfast. The breakfast - a nice selection of food, juice and coffee. The grounds - they are compact, but they are well tended (and secure) with nice tropical plants and flowers, and an indigenous bamboo grove. It is a relaxing oasis on the outskirts of Armenia.

Minor issues with connecting to the internet

We liked everything but would suggest to add a mini fridge and coffee maker so that guests can have fresh water and make a coffee if they wake up before breakfast time.

Breakfast and hotel food could improve, even though Margarita asked for some exquisite food from a restaurant nearby. We were told that a personal chef is available upon reservation ! Hair dryer would be useful as well

Hotel Casa Giraldo is a hidden gem that will exceed all your expectations. I have had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Casa Giraldo twice. On the first occasion, I visited as a solo female traveller and was one of the hotel first ever guests. The experience was so memorable that I had to return a few months later from Jamaica with my husband. Hotel Casa Giraldo is an exquisitely design and tastefully styled villa-type hotel in El Eje Cafeteria, Colombia’s coffee region. The property is breathtaking and the pool and jacuzzi are both very inviting. It is a great base to explore the Coffee Region and to visit nearby cities like Armenia, Pereira, Manizales and Santa Rosa de Cabal. During your visit, you must tour a coffee farm and visit the quaint town of Salento and La Valle de Cocora! One of the standout features of this hotel is its impeccable service. The staff members are incredibly attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. Special mention to Rose, Jaime and Margarita.They are simply the sweetest. The culinary experience at Hotel Casa Giraldo is a true delight. Spanish trained Chef Ecuardo Villa from La Finestra offers a delectable array of Colombian and international dishes, prepared with the freshest ingredients. You must have the paella with a freshly made jug of house sangria!!! I thoroughly enjoyed each meal I had there, and the charming dining experience of having the meals prepared just in front of us. The rooms at Hotel Casa Giraldo are extremely spacious, comfortable and elegantly designed. I appreciated the careful thought put into every aspect of the room, from the comfortable bedding to the locally-inspired artwork that adorned the walls. The attention to cleanliness and tidiness was evident throughout, making me feel right at home.

This hotel is fantastic. We liked that it is small but very comfortable. The fact that it is an only adults hotel makes it a relaxing place to spend the day and night. We enjoyed the dinner reservation with the chef. Overall this is a great place to stay after a whole day of visiting the tourists attractions in the region. We will be back!

The hotel is not easily accessible to Armenia without a car. It can also be a little difficult to find. A sign at the gate would help. Availability of hair dyers would be good.

The modern and very new facilities. The staff were very attentive and caring. The evening meal could be ordered in advance and the one occasion I did so it was excellent.
