How friendly reception once, especially Alicia. Helped us out a lot in booking tours. Always a smile on her face. The rooms are spacious. Fully working kitchen and shower. Amazing pool and beautiful area to chill. Booked our lost city tour via them. You get 1 free night when you book via them. Same price as everywhere else. This place is amazing.

Super friendly staff at reception, Alicia and Melissa were very patient, helpful and flexible. The hostel is in a quiet location, a few minutes from the buses for Tayrona and Minca, as well as the airport. I was able to store my luggage for several days. If you book the trek to the lost city through the hostel, you get the connecting night for free! Good breakfast included. Highly recommended!

Great location for access to the bus stops for day trips to Minca or Tayrona. Lovely hostel with breakfast included which is a great bonus. As well as a pool, perfect after a long day of exploring!

The area does feel a bit shady. The vibe was not very social when I was there. Since Santa Marta is not so special as a place to be, my stay in this hostel was not so special either.

The rooms were big and the airconditioning was working really well, so sleeping was comfortable. Nice garden and nice breakfast. Staff is very friendly. Kitchen is big and well equipped.

Hostel is in a quiet neighborhood, it feels really welcoming and comfy there :) breakfast was simple but really good! It was always clean everywhere. Staff was super friendly, especially Alica was really helpful :) would definitely come back!

Todo! Good location, nice and clean (!!) rooms, bathrooms and kitchen! During the day the rooms are quite warm but there is no need to stay in the room, they have a nice garden with pool. Alicia from the reception is super lovely, friendly and helpful (and dulce como panela, hahaha ;-)). Food is good, nice breakfast.

Everything was fine! The staff was very friendly and always smiling, beds super comfortable and dorms are spacious. Great value for money considering free breakfast! Note that the place is not in the city center where everything happens and that you can walk there at day but should get a taxi for coming back at night. So if you want a relaxing stay far from the craziness of s.marta this is a great choice.

Bit of a walk to the beach but not more than 10mins. However super close to the local markets.

Would definitely recommend this hostel. Loved the vibe, very chilled with super friendly and helpful staff. Food is great with plenty of outdoor space to relax. Will stay there again.

I had a wonderful stay at Cacao Hostel in Santa Marta. The location near the bus station is very convenient, making my arrival and departure hassle-free. The staff, especially Lina at the reception, was extremely friendly and helpful. Always willing to provide recommendations and make my experience as comfortable as possible. The hostel facilities were cozy and clean, creating a pleasant atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this hostel and would return.

Great location if you are going to take the bus to Minca or Tayrona. Quiet neighborhood within walkable distance to the cental area, so if you don't like the party vibe you may stay here instead of other hostels in centro.

The dorm room is very hot during the day and there’s no fan in the rooms, it would make a big difference. The front desk staff didn’t have a proper training. After the second night I’ve decided to stay more nights, no problem. Every morning I was going there and add one more night. It was fine, but they didn’t tell me, at the weekend was different prices. The Friday to Saturday they charged me extra 10.000 cop and the Saturday to Sunday was 80.000 per night. At least I realised it on Saturday morning and just left. Normal nights was 30k, Friday 40k and Saturday 80k. Please, let the tourists know you charge extra for weekends.

I went to Cacao for 2 nights and end up sleeping there 4 nights. Clean rooms Nice place to stay in Santa Marta My stay was perfect, until the last morning….
