Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicNo air-conditioning, only cold water, uncomfortable bed. We were the only guest there. Plain warm water as welcome drink. Receptionist did not look at us, did not welcome us until he charged our credit card - it was very strange... Big hotel but no guests.
We were nicely surprised by natural guides who took us to jungle for a nice walk .There is a possibility of visit village nearby. Nice big swimming pool. Tasty dinner.

United StatesWhen booking we could only stay 2 nights instead of 3 due to an early flight. I still had to pay for 3 nights. So to get my money back they offered to buy my hotel for 1 night in Leticia. I agreed. The hotel was 20% the value of Biohotel. I had about 400,000 pesos due back to me as a refund. They only gave about 180,000 back.
I like everything about the hotel and the staff

It’s a very new and beautiful hotel in the middle of the jungle. You can see and hear lots of birds and enjoy the big pool. The staff was very friendly and the guides are from the Ticuna community. Very recommended.

United StatesWould have been nice to have some toiletries provided (not just soap) and the food was a bit basic, nice but a little repetitive.
Beautiful hotel designed like a traditional Maloka. Rooms were spacious, clean and nicely designed. Pool and bar area were great, literally in the middle of the jungle. There were only 2 other people staying there so it was a complete paradise for us! And the staff were lovely too.

United StatesThis place is not made for people who need anything to run smoothly and on time. If you are up for an adventure it is great. I wouldn't stay more than 3 days because there aren't many options for things to do. The dining center and pool area would benefit from a few fans as the mosquitos eat you alive at night.
The rooms are very comfortable, great beds and pillows, the pool is large and clean and lovely. Leticia is still evolving its tour infrastructure so tours are chaotic and unexpected but the Amazon is beautiful. Very friendly and helpful staff, but knowing Spanish is a necessity in this location, if you only speak English things will be very difficult for you.

CanadaOnly complaint is I didnt know we would be leaving so early the morning of check out but the boat came when we were just finished breakfast. Also for price of hotel/ all inclusive - to take food intolerances a bit more seriously! I needed to clarify at every single meal to chef and it was not always understood!
We asked to switch our room to facing the jungle which was amazing as we were able to watch the sunset and not here the music from the pool area! Jungle walk tour was wonderful and our guide had such a wonderful energy/ knowledge of these sacred lands.

ItalyI didn’t like that sometimes it was not easy to find someone to help or ask, sometimes there was no one on the bar or on the reception so we had to start looking around until we could find someone to ask. We were the only 4 people on the hotel so it is understandable that sometimes someone would not be in their position but sometimes there was no one around. Also the vegetarian options were not really vegetarian dishes but always salad, chef on the last day did a very good job and was open to feedback.
I liked the fact that it was away from the city and in the middle of the jungle! the facilities were clean, comfortable and beautiful and the staff was very helpful. Chef on the last day was very helpful as well as the bar guy

GermanyI told upfront that I’m vegan. Via mail, in person, to the chef and the waitress. I’m trying to explain it as good as possible, but it still seems to be very hard for the majority of hotels to understand what it means. I always got eggs on my plate or even the rice had little parts fish inside. On the second day they made sure I’ll have my own plate of food and I didn’t have to eat from the buffet anymore. The rooms in front of the pool are noisy because the bar plays music and people talk or party at the pool. The rooms aren’t isolated, that makes sound travel very far.
I liked the tour through the rain forest with Kathi! She explained animals and plants to me. As she has an indigenous background, she had a lot of interesting insights to share. I liked that I could change the room, because the one on front of the pool was too noisy.

United StatesThe entire property is gorgeous and blends perfectly into the surroundings. It was everything we expected and more. It was absolutely beautiful! The staff was phenomenal. We were the only guests there and got the star treatment. Gregorio and Kathie were exceptional, we loved them. We would definitely stay here again and again!

United KingdomMeant to be all inclusive but wasn’t offered any drinks / had to ask for water to be refilled. It’s v remote which is great if you can speak Spanish (not the hotel fault obvs!) but really don’t recommend if you can’t speak Spanish because it was very hard to communicate
Beautiful space but work was doing done on the pool. Few issues with my room but these were resolved

GermanyOn our second night, there was a school excursion, our room ended up being between two rooms occupied by the kids. Our suggestion for the future is that maybe they place all the adults near each other if they have an excursion booked, as it got pretty loud (we chatted with other guests that had a similar observation). Obviously you cannot expect kids to be quiet, but would've been nice to be a bit farther away.
Everything was lovely, the staff is really helpful and ready to support you. The tours organized by the hotel really give you the opportunity to explore the Amazon. The food was also really tasty, a plus was that we were offered a different natural juice each day, from Amazon native fruits. Finally, it's worth mentioning that the hotel has a souvenir store with really good prices and beautiful pieces carved by indigenous communities. On the sustainable component of the hotel, we liked the fact it purchases part of the restaurant ingredients from local communities, that it hires indigenous people and that it's energetically self-sufficient (solar power). 10/10 recommended.

United StatesIn the main lobby on the last day they started playing soft jazz music, I found that to be unpleasant. By the pool area there was often very loud music playing, people were partying and have fun which is good. I would recommend splitting time half of music and have quiet so we can enjoy nature. Others commented wanting quiet time as well.
Simply the best place to stay if you are traveling up the Amazon from Leticia. The staff are uniquely accommoding and polite. If you take a tour such as the night walk make sure to go with Juan. I have never met a person like him, if you have the good fortune to meet him you will understand.
