It can be a bit noisy at night.....it didn't bother us and we slept very well both nights. I really recommend Atatdecer de Salento.

We really enjoyed our stay, -comfortable, room with private bathroom and HOT shower. We loved sitting out on the balcony with its view of the town.. The kitchen was well equipped. Don Antonio and Natalie made us feel very welcome. It is close to everything.. We would have liked to stay longer than two nights.

A little noisy in the evenings with music from the local bars bit was to be expected on a busy Saturday night.

The place is a bit worn down. One of the towels we were given was thread bare and had a big hole in it. It got cold at night which was fine for me but my room partner didn't enjoy it. We also didn't have running water for a day and a half or more. Finally the shower was either freezing or boiling and nothing in between.

The location was good right at the end of the most popular street in town. Though it.could be loud at night. The room was fairly large even with 2 double beds and a single. The price was fantastic, and would have been better split between more people had we been traveling in a group.

The staff, I'm sure was friendly, I just didnt see anyone around, including staff. Across the street is a couple bars that play loud music till around 2am. You may or may not like this. Just something to consider.

The property is at the end of the street, right before the Mirador. It was easy to walk pretty much anywhere.

The kitchen was not very well organised but it was possible to cook, also there is live-music ever night close to the hostel which could disturbe if you have a light sleep

Unfortunately, being at the top of the strip means it can be a bit loud at night, there was a noodle restaurant next door that played loud club music until very late when we were there, so something to be aware of if you’re a light sleeper.

The host, Don Antonio, was super welcoming, offering us coffee and even soup upon arrival! Rooms are modest but the price is very good. The hostal is located at the top of the main strip, Calle Real, and has a really nice view over Salento. Cool hangout spot on the veranda with hammocks and picnic tables. Cute hostel cats :)

The room was very cold because it’s not properly insulated and it felt unpleasant to be in there at night and in the early morning. The shower did not work properly. It was impossible to sleep at night because there’s loud music coming from people gathering in the street until 5am

There are some bars nearby that have very loud music until quite late and the walls do not keep sound out. I was here in a weekend which also means a lot of Colombian visitors in Salento. I guess this makes everything livelier. I, however, am a very light sleeper, so my sleep was very fragmented.

Water pressure and wifi are a bit low.

Perfect location, close to amazing bars and restaurants and view points. Beautiful house with places to relax, really good vibes, made friends in the house right away, really exceeded my expectations. Great value for money.

- Noise. The noise levels made it difficult to sleep - we had a downstairs room next to the kitchen (perhaps other rooms are better), people often sat outside the window into our room which you could hear everything they said. The window only had shutters and no glass meaning noise levels were like you were outside. The bar opposite plays music every night until until the early hours of the morning. You can hear everything from the rooms next door/above meaning sleeping was difficult. One night we were awake for hours due to this. - Bathroom - In our bathroom the door didn't shut or have a lock. There was a strong smell (of excrement?) coming from the bathroom toilet/drains which you could smell strongly in the bedroom. - Cleanliness - The sheets/sink/toilet were clean, but the rest of the room was dirty. There was muddy/dirty patches all over the walls, there was damp and black mould on the walls. The bathroom door was filthy covered in mould, dust and dirt. - Wi-fi - this did not work in the room - Kitchen - when we checked in we weren't shown the kitchen and only located it a day in when one of the men working there showed us. The kitchen was big, but wasn't super clean. We have been travelling around south America for 3 months and regularly stay in budget accommodation. We do not have very high standards! But, this hostel needs quite a bit of work to make it a suitable place to stay. We had booked 4 nights here but left after 2 nights and were refunded just under the cost of the 2 nights that we didn't stay. When we said we were checking out early, the staff didn't seem too surprised!

The hostel was close to shops and restaurants. Free coffee available in the kitchen. Room was spacious. There was hot water. Nice view from the terrace outside. One of the people working there was friendly and he showed us where the kitchen was when we couldn't find it.

Amazing hostel, definetly best view for sunset in salento, just under the mirador. Big kitchen with amazinggg coffee. Really comfy room with a lovely hot shower & all the staff are incredible, even cleaned up the egg I smashed allover the floor although I insisted I would.

The water pressure is quiet low with warm water - its enough though Biggest minus are the 2 bars next door who battle each other who can be loudest and have the base turned up so that a simple accoustic guitar gives vibrations like at a party. Its super loud. And the problem is not one bar, its both musics together. Usually it stops between 12 and 1am....usually

The place itself is great, people are super friendly. They offer coffee and agua panella and herbal tea for free, which is awesome.
