Not enough staff could speak English for a British hotel chain. Many struggled with basic phrases. Rooms and bathrooms were not cleaned well upon arrival.

Great concierge service. Yin and Jian provided outstanding support for activities before and during stay. Maybe best concierge staff have had in a bunch of nice hotels. Also location great. Breakfasts good.

the smell of cigarette smoke throughout the hallway and air conditioning from time to time was not pleasant

Design of the room is a little outdated. But it doesn’t kill. Pillows were too soft, even though we had two pillows stacked.

Clean, convenient and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the housekeeping team - they would always greet you with a wide smile despite having to clean so many rooms for the day. It’s considered expensive in China, but definitely worth the money to pamper yourself. Wangfujing shopping street is a 6 to 8 minutes walk away. Train station is literally right ‘below’ at the back of the hotel.

Nothing I didn't like

We took a taxi from airport to hotel for <100 RMB within 30 minutes amid heavy traffic. The hotel is just 5 minutes away from the train station on Line 5 which we didn't use and 20 minutes to Wangfujian area on foot. The staff are excellent, from bell boy to the front desk to the housekeeping staff, friendly, approachable and all ready to help with all enquiries. The room is big and spacious with all the necessities. Will definitely consider staying at the Regent again if the opportunity arise.

The key to the room does not function well, and it was like that every day for most guests. The room a bit small for a family of three. I forgot my yoga mat in the bath room (I remember that and my family also saw that) but when I called the staff claimed they could not find it.

Great location, right next to the metro station and very close to Wang Fu Jing and Tiananmen Square. Breakfast was good. Gym and pool are amazing!

The staff was super friendly, Mr Wei at the concierge recommended 1949 全鸭季, which was the best Peking duck during our trip, we’ve tried a few different places. The cleaner Ms Qu, brought us a laundry rack when she saw I did some laundry the night before. Location wise walking distance to Wangfujing and the forbidden city, lots of shops and restaurants nearby, will happily stay again❤️

First ever Beijing trip and Regent did fantastically well ! Superb location (right next to Aston Martin showroom) and shopping districts and eateries within walking distance. Huge beautiful lobby, huge room and bathroom with great city views. Great staffs all around. We would like to give a special mention & thanks to Elena Li who went extra mile to arrange express courier on something we left behind in room after checking out to our next hotel without charging us!! Thanks Elena ! Hope to see you in real person on our next visit !

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel , the location is amazing very close to many facilities around , the staff are very helpful , kind and polite. I had problem with my room AC and the Duty Manager Ms Yael Gao is she was very humble and polite , she upgraded me to a suite , with no extra charges. Also the concierge staff are very friendly and helpful, specially Ms Yina , she recommended many good restaurants and places to visit, she also assisted me to book the needed tickets. I highly recommend staying in this Hotel, you will definitely enjoy the experience.

Afternoon teas in the lobby are quite expensive, breakfast could be improved although there is a very wide range, the quality felt average. Bathroom could be renovated, hammam in the swimming pool area did not work properly and was dirty when we entered.

Beautiful location, very near Wangfujing and 2min from a subway station, bright lobby, comfortable and spacious rooms, great swimming pool and gym area. amazing staff that always try their best to accommodate all our requests.

It’s a beautiful hotel and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. We will be returning in a few days snd look forward to staying at the Regent while in Beijing.
