NetherlandsThe Harmony Hotel has a prime location , a side street from West Street with everything close by . Even so it is a quiet old courtyard hotel , romantic and peaceful . Upon arrival food was prepared for us . And breakfasts are à la carte so you get as much as you want and exactly what you want . The rooms are spacious , the beds hard and you can sit outside your room in the yard . The owners and their son are amazingly helpful and speak English fluently . The lady of the house - should I say the Empress ? - arranged tickets for “ Another glance at Pingyao “ and drivers to Zhangbi castle the Wang Compound . Highly recommended .

GermanyService was great. We were picked up at the parking lot with a shuttle bus. Dinner in the hotel was perfect and delicious. They even offered gluten free food! The owner family were very friendly and supported us in any situation. We strongly recommend this hotel as it is a pleasure to stay there. We surely will come back, when we are around this area again.

Wonderful traditional house in a quiet alley, welcoming staff and very helpful. Many options for breakfast and quick bites and the owners are extremely helpful for organizing anything. English is spoken, which makes communication much easier than most places.

ChinaThe hotel owner and her son speak excellent English, they are very polite and welcoming. If you need them to arrange transportation for you they will help you book a driver. The hotel is positioned in the center of the old town. The hotel offers a great choice for breakfast and you must try the Shanxi noodles (daoxiao mian) which they serve and it's all home made.

I like the support provided by the owners and their attention to the guest in providing all information needed. They speak a good english and they arranged for us transfers from/to the train station and Mian Shan. They also organize transfers for a day trip to other sites outside the city. Restaurant is also very good: there is a limited choice but the quality is very high! The hotel is located in a nice area, close to the main streets. The courtyards with red lights are amazing and the traditional rooms as well! We liked the opportunity to wear traditional clothes for some pictures! The best in town for a foreigners and not! Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at Harmony, the family who run the place are super helpful, really good English if that's what you're looking for (we accepted it as not a problem but it's of course really helpful) and the good there is incredible. Highly recommend and also there is the Cozy bar on the other side of town which is really fun. One of the best places we've stayed during our 6 month travels. The rooms are also beautiful and just the whole place! Can't recommend enough.
