Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsEmployees speak very poor English. At check-in they are able to provide the basics. But if you have questions or problems, no one is able to help you. Same problem in the lounge bar. This hotel is no more than a four star hotel by European standards. Rarely have I experienced a five star hotel with so many noisy guests and running around, screaming children. Both downstairs in the lobby/lounge and in the hallway on my floor. The area is not really worth a visit. Not much to do, no nice walks. You need a taxi for everything. I would recommend a hotel closer to the city center.
The 2-room suite was very spacious, comfortable, clean and pleasant to stay in. The hotel is beautiful and very well decorated.

SingaporePillows were flat but you could always ask them for other types of pillows. There were also huge mosquitoes in the room and lounge. During peak season, unpleasant smells like smoke or vomit from other rooms would travel into our rooms via vents and pipes.
Vast improvement in staff services compared to our last stay a year ago where they were very unwelcoming to international travelers. Room and lift key card system has also been improved and is now stable where it used to stop working out of the blue. Wifi is very stable. Unbeatable location as well as excellent food and service in lounge and restaurants.

FranceI would expect a better value for my money and for the “Hilton” label. From my point of view, you can find better accommodations with an excellent location and service quality for cheaper in Beijing. Also, I found it unacceptable to request a deposit in addition of the room which was paid in advance.
Clean room with good breakfast and helpful staff.

United KingdomRoom service either needs to come a lot quicker or be better quality. We ordered dinner because we arrived late and it took ages to come. They'd forgotten something so we had to wait an extra half an hour for it.
Located a short subway ride away from the West station which was useful. Room was very nice.

Australiaair-conditioning not working on a hot day, not pleasant! The Hotel knew that the air-conditioning in the bedroom was not working and they still gave us that room. Upon complaining, they said they knew of the problem with that air-conditioning and will bring a portable unit but that was really noisy. Finally, we requested for a change of room, and reception told us that there was none. But after complaining, they straight away agreed to change the room as it was very stuffy in the bedroom.
Nice & Clean Hotel. Good location and easily accessible to foods, shops, restaurants. Room's furniture and carpet are a bit outdated for a Hilton standard. But overall it was Good. The staff at concierge desk were very helpful in booking taxi for us and introduced us to the Tour guy to get ticket for the Forbidden City. The restaurant on the top floor is quite nice for the Peking duck, great service and nice atmosphere for a quiet dinner

MalaysiaHilton is expensive. Some of the younger counter staff has to understand that this is an international hotel, and therefore, they need to be more forthcoming, and comprehend circumstances. There shouldn't be any prejudice or calculated judgments. As long as any client that walks into Hilton, they have to be at anytime courteous and forthcoming with smiles.
The room has an executive feel.

United KingdomEverything. Overpriced and unhelpful staff.
Honestly the most unhelpful staff. My fiend and I arrived late at night at the station and we could not get a taxi after trying at the official taxi rank for an hour. Then we called the hotel and asked for help and they were extremely unhelpful. They did not call a taxi, did not send us a Chinese address to help us find a taxi and didn’t have any of our details saved. It took us 3 hours from 11pm to 2am to get the 2km to them.

ChinaThe location was horrible. I was afraid to get out of my car. There needs to be security present at this location. The room were not up to Hilton standards. The sofa was stained. Electricity didn’t work in a portion of the bedroom. It didn’t feel clean. It looks very worn down.
The lobby was nice and well maintained to the Hilton standards
