Staff was the best service provider. They were not only courteous, so helpful and went out of their way to assist and meet our needs. Location was very good for our planned trip ( non tour but self organised) We missed the opportunity to eat breakfast at the restaurant. They even allowed us to use their washing machine for free!

Stayed for three nights and loved every bit of it! The location was good - it was very near the Shufengyayun opera house, and had many restaurants along the same road. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good too! The room was spacious and comfortable.

The rooms face the courtyard on the groundfloor which houses a restaurant. Therefore, dining times can be a bit noisy although it was not too bad inside the room. Thankfully, the restaurant does not open too late into the night.

The hotel location in the centre of Chengdu is fantastic! Set among a lot of shops and restaurants and is right across from the Chengdu Cultural Park. We loved walking in the park and immersing ourselves in the culture and daily lives of the locals who were enjoying themselves drinking tea and playing mahjong. The hotel itself has a lot of character and its architecture and furnishings evoke a sense of times gone by. The Manager, Frank is very responsive, friendly and helpful. He helped us book the airport transfers, taxi for a day trip, opera tickets and gave a lot of suggestions so as to how to make our day trip successful. As I was not feeling too well, he even waived the charge for my breakfast as I was not up to eating much.

This hotel is very well located to most of the places of interests. Plenty of eateries nearby. The room is comfortable and we had a pleasant stay. The hotel also provides a free laundry service! A big thank you to Frank, the affable manager and his wonderful team especially Joey, Kimberly and Kristal who looked after us very well and always with a smile. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service.

Place has no lift but the staff will help with the luggage so it was okay but a tad tiring to climb up after a long day of walking 😂 soundproofing wasnt that great at level 1 as we could hear our neighbour kids shouting along the corridor till late night

Nice and clean, lovely courtyard restaurant, breakfast awesome and free fast laundry (3 hours). Staff absolutely brilliant and so helpful. Lovely location and perfect for travellers on multi stop trips as well as a longer stay.

As a returned visitor, Wen-Jun is certainly my favorite Hotel in Chengdu. An old-style amazing architecture at the mid of all attractions (parks, shrines etc.) which makes it easy to just walk everywhere. Delicious food with special taste for foreigners. Includes all necessary commodities (as free dry cleaning) which is so important due to the City’s changing weather, but most importantly the warmhearted crew (e.g. Joey) who’s always available in helping you get practically everywhere in the Sichuan province at the easiest way. Stunning building with beautiful internal communal balcony. Each room has a table outside the room with a view of the restaurant/entrance downstairs and the neighbouring Chinese style buildings. Could sit here for hours people-watching! Hotel contacted me before I arrived with instructions for checking in and arranged for a driver to collect me at the airport (~£25). They have a WeChat group that you can ask for anything you need during your stay. Very close to the Shu Feng Ya Yun opera across the road which I recommend for the hand shadow performance alone!

The staff was absolutely top-tier: Friendly, present, professional, and supremely helpful (despite of me not speaking a word of Mandarin). They helped me with everything from transportation to food orders, and even packed a generous to-go breakfast for me and my friends when we had to take an early train. I'd come back just for the staff! The hotel itself is also very pretty, situated inside a cozy courtyard. I enjoyed the serene environment and the short walk to a nearby park that was bustling with fun activity.

Power socket placed wrongly placed for kettle. Could not use the nominated one. Insufficient bag racks. Due to the very old design of the rooms. Liked the rustic nature though.

Staff was exceptionally helpful n friendly, provided help with our onward journey arrangements, helped with little things like warm milk for our tea at night! Tops.

My room was a bit dark, but there’s a convenient terrace to spend time outside during the day if too tired to visit the city.

Located in one of the most suggestive and relaxing places in 成都, it’s well connected to the main tourist attractions. The room comes with everything needed for a pleasant stay, including tea and snacks free of charge.

The speed of service at the restaurant could be better. We're told all steamed dishes requires 30 mins waiting time. Having an English speaking staff could have been helpful too.

We stayed here twice for a total of 3 nights. Both times the rooms were clean with decent amenities. The bed were very comfortable and we sleep really well. There's English speaking staff available which was really helpful and much needed. For convenience there's also a restaurant at the courtyard which we patronised twice for dinner as we were too tired to walk out after a long day of touring. The foods was good and they have quite a few variety to choose from.

The breakfast needs a serious upgrade. It’s small scale, which is absolutely okay but the things they do have need to be of better quality. The coffee was good tho! :) Would also love some yogurt and greater variety of fruits.

The hotel is 4 storey high without lift, hence I have to climb up and down when I need to go out. The good thing is the hotel provides luggage carrying services.

The hotel is exquisite and full of oriental feel. The wood and craving was artistically beautiful and the room is clean. I enjoyed free upgrade so the room has one king and 2 single which is more than enough for me and my parents. The aircon temperature can very controlled so it’s very good for my old aged parents. The garden at level one can be used for meals and sitting down to relax. I have my dinner made in the hotel too. The dinner were good too.
