The breakfast choice is very limited, and when you're there for 4 days very repetitive. The evening receptionists are not helpful or welcoming at all. Also, there's a not-so-secret bar in the basement and they let the karaoke partiers up the volume as they like and they don't care if it disrupts the guests. I stayed Sun-Thu, I woke up multiple times on my last night thanks to the noise, I had go down to reception to ask them to lower the volume and the awful receptionist was trying to pretend that the noise you could clearly hear in reception wouldn't reach my room just one floor above. So watch out if you're staying on the 2nd floor.

As other reviews mentioned the hotel is a little outdated, but it's comfortable enough for a few nights and the location is great. The daytime receptionist is warm, welcoming, and helpful. He switched my room when I was assigned a windowless room with a single bed -thought that "mistake" should have never happened since I paid for a double room- but, he fixed someone else's mistake.

This building seems to actually be meant to be a hotel, so that compared to the other places I've stayed in Santiago, this is more comfortable. It has an elevator, it has good air condition, it has big windows and bright rooms, it has a stable wifi - none of these are a given, haha. The Japanese theme gives the place a bit of personality, too, and the surrounding area is really nice.

Wifi didn’t really get to our room, and when we asked the younger chap on reception to help, he just said he couldn’t. The other staff on reception were much more helpful and let us onto another network, but still didn’t work.

The property room was amazing, with a huge bed and great bedding and AC. The breakfast was also amazing and the staff there were friendly.

There was a party at the hotel and the facility sent a note (and invitation) with earplugs and chocolate. Overall nothing too bad especially since my room was far away.

The wifi had some issues, so it didnt always work properly. But it seemed like that was temporary. The shower had the choice between water pressure and warmth.

The location and the room was great. The staff was friendly and the beds slept great.

Price for the room is a little expensive in my opinion, considering I was staying alone. Room needed some cleaning of the floor. I found some fuzz around and It hasn't been the first time. I've stayed here before. Some wall lights need to be fixed.

The room I got this time was bigger than my previous stay. Really comfortable to have a big room. Temperature was also good during the night. No need to turn on the heater, which the room also has. Shower works perfectly and has good pressure and temperature. Breakfast was ok.

Aircon was really old and pretty dust. Breakfest wasnt good and only worthy because it was cheap and I had no touble to wake up and figure out where to have some.

Bathroom was pretty good. Wide and confortable bed. Was a good place to stay a couple of days.

The two young men that looked after reception are exceptional and all the other staff also very good from cleaning staff through to the people working in the kitchen Obviously the owner runs a very good business but has installed into his staff a very professional but friendly way of working Seriously if you are looking for a place to stay this hotel is very underrated in my opinion well worth 9 star due to the friendly welcome you get Thank you and if I get back to Santiago i will stay with you again

We were forced to choose a hotel for a 10 day quarantine at the last minute and Hotel Nippon proported to have the facilities to support this. Such was definitely not the case; no microwaves, no plastic cups or service ware, no coffee service, no kitchenette, no extra towels, napkins, closet space, nothing for a 10 day, shut in your room extended stay. Meals provided at a large additional cost. Had to ask for top sheet, silverware service, milk with breakfast, more TP, shampoo, daily maintenance items. Not impressed!! Check in time per reservation, 1200-1300. Actual time allowed into room, after 2 hour lobby wait, 1400. Great start to quarantine, hence the disclaimer.

Bed was firm, large, almost oversized for the room. Window AC worked well, shower was ok. Staff was reasonable after the first day.
