Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesCharming hotel on a quiet square, about a ten minute flat walk (with luggage) from the train station. The room was a bit small but adequate. We had just arrived in Europe and were jet lagged. Had a great nap and sound night's sleep. We enjoyed having dinner in the restaurant as well. Cozy atmosphere, good food and a lovely wine list. Our server, who also ran the breakfast room in the morning, was delightful. I get the impression Chur isn't a huge tourist destination. We chose it for ease of catching the Bernina Express the next morning. I think we made a great choice!

United KingdomSome more breakfast options would have been good, maybe some fresh sliced fruit and toast
The triple room with private bathroom was perfectly suitable for us. New decor in the room but the rest of the hotel is still very traditional

South AfricaRoom way to small for a double. Left side of the bed was so close to the wall, I couldn't stand and there was no bedside table, so my glasses etc had to lie on the floor. On the right side, the slope of the roof awning meant my husband had to do a side ways cave troll move. Only 1 chair so other person had to sit on bed. Would be perfect if a single room but certainly uncomfortable for a couple.
Staff were professional, especially breakfast lady. Breakfast was very good. Lovely character. Good situation

ItalyI just founf hard working from my laptop since there were no chairs or desks.
I loved the two beds, the view and the location, since it was very central and perfect to reach the bus station to Flims or the train to Liechtenstein. Everything was very clean and staff was very nice.

BelgiumSpacious room on a good location, about a 10-15 min walk from the train station. The staff was kind and I was able to leave my luggage after checkout. There’s also a neat little bar on the ground floor!

United StatesI had to carry my bags up 3 flights of stairs.
The room was small, but well appointed. It had a sloped ceiling, so I had to bed aware of that when getting into and out of the bed. It was a very quiet area. The sound of the church bells was very pleasant.

United KingdomUnfortunately the bar attached to the hotel despite being lovely was a real smokers paradise, cigars especially -not for me.
Age and history of the building, fact it was based in the old town. The food was of the highest quality and well worth the cost.

United KingdomBreakfast was basic, but fine. Like all Swiss hotels I think it is expensive for what you get.
nicely situated in the old town, just 15 mins walk (all flat) from the railway station. Staff were helpful, efficient and spoke super English. Were able to borrow a Swiss to UK phone charger as ours had broken which was a big help. The free tea and coffee on floor three is also a nice touch, though be aware you can only have the coffee maker or the kettle plugged in so you can wait around for a while before you realise yours is switched off..LOL

United StatesThey allow smoking in the bar so we were unable to partake. I would also prefer a hot breakfast option, even if it is an up charge.
The location is great and I like the included breakfast value. It’s a quaint, cold breakfast but was sufficient.

United StatesThere was a bar at the entrance that allowed smoking inside. The lobby and stairs up to room seemed to be affected by it. There was general off putting feel about the people in the town, at the train station and at check in that made us not feel very welcome.
Our beds and bedding were incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was nice.

GermanyThe hotel has no parking, being in the pedestrian zone. More information on the local parking would be helpful. I ended up in the Parkhaus Arcus which is a short walk from the hotel (CHf 18 per day in Feb 2024)
Inexpensive (for CH), cheerful central Chur hotel. Old but OK. I was there during Fasching, the night before Aschermittwoch so the old town was mostly closed (it being a holiday an all). All through the evening there were the variuos Fasching clubs parading around the altstadt, playing music, singing songs and drinking. Around midnight a lot congreated in front of the hotel for an extra long sesion and drinks from the bar in the hotel, it was really cool, not something you get to see and enjoy every day. My room was fine, shared toilet just down the hall. Breakfast was also OK (it's not the Ritz but it doesn't charge like the Ritz either). The staff were friendly and helpful.
