I dont know whether it’s common in Switzerland, but I haven’t experienced it anywhere else - we wanted to share a dish and we were told that there is a 5 CHF charge to bring extra plate. Funny thing is that we received literally 1 extra empty plate and one plate with a dish. I still asked for one more plate, and we got it (there wasn’t further charge). In all other restaurants we got 2 plates (without any fees on top) and the plate with a dish was put in the middle, so that we could share.

Top Location, very quiet, close to hiking trails and I could see waterfall directly from my window. Stuff was also friendly.

It was incredible that there was abosolutely no fruit in the breakfast.

This hotel & restaurant in a very strategic location, transportation to all famous tourist attractions in the Jungfrau Region is very smooth and not far. This hotel & restaurant is located at the end of the road so it's perfect for resting and enjoying the atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and full smiling. There is no complaint whatsoever from me with this place and I hope to come back to this hotel again in the summer.

There was no kettle or hair dryer in the room. When l ask l was given a hair dryer to use from the front desk. There was no TV in the room, but with the view we did not need one. No elevator.

The location was amazing. Quiet and very scenic. The place was clean, the beds were comfy and the staff were extremely nice. Authentic Swiss Chalet.

The room (budget room) was in a terrace with wash basin inside. It didn't have any proper window, so you can not see the beautiful view of outside. :(

The breakfast was good but not great. You can have bread, jam, butter, apple, banana, salami, corn flakes, oats and boiled eggs. Coffee was great.

From the moment we walked in we were not received as I had hoped, The older ladies there are not as friendly, but they warmed up some afterwards, However they make up for it with the nicer younger women there.

Great view, over all comfortable room and clean. Having a restaurant in hotel was great. Jennifer is the most smiley and kind young lady that I met in all of Switzerland

The evening staff were a little rude and didn't seem to want to be there. The walls are quite thin and you can hear talking, which late at night, is quite annoying. The room also smelled of smoke and food.

I liked the location as it was quiet and off the beaten track a little but still close to reach the Schilthornbahn to get up to Gimmewald and Murren and also very convenient to reach Lauterbrunnen by bus, which then was an easy rail connect to Wengen. The breakfast staff were very helpful and friendly too. The windows in the room and the view was wonderful! I would stay again.

Floors squeaked quite loudly, shared shower room was a little tight but worked ok. I wish the included breakfast had some warm protein options like scrambled eggs or bacon/sausage.

A lot of flies at the terrace and inside the restaurant as well, while eating.

The hotel is nicely located at te beginning of a lot of hiking trails. The area surrounded by te mountains and waterfalls is amazing. I liked that the hotel was easy to acces from Lauterbrunnen by bus. The older staff might seem grumpy, but actually they are nice and helpfull if you can see through that demeanor. The young woman on breakfast duty was always nice with a friendly welcoming attitude. The single room was allright, the bed was fine. And the shared bathroom and toilets where clean.

Mattresses on the bed were a bit saggy for my liking.

Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Beautiful setting, easy access to cable car to Gimmelwald and Mürren and bus to Lauterbrunnen. Family room was a good size for 2 adults and 2 kids (including a baby in a cot). The little playground at the beer garden was a great added bonus.
