Due to low staffing, the breakfast was no longer available after the first day. Service was VERY slow in the restaurant. The closet was inadequate for just the 2 of us. Had there been 4, impossible. Towels were delivered every day - but there were NO towel racks for hanging wet towels. There was no one staffing reception for most of the day.

Room was large with a double bed and 2 twin beds. The deck was great and the umbrella saved the day, since it was quite rainy. Nice that a restaurant was on the ground floor with outdoor patio seating, plus a glassed-in seating area with a small fire going. The inside of the restaurant was very cozy. They offered a good breakfast the first day we were there. Location is great. The Valley bus stops just across the street from the hotel!

The biggest problem with this accommodation was the bathroom - very small and the ceiling that seemed to have mold stains.

The location is superb, few steps from the most famous view point of Lauterbrunnen. The room had a nice view and it was clean. Could use small adjustments to make it more comfortable but it was a one night stay so it wasn’t a problem

There is a reception but no one to great you. You have to walk into the restaurant, wait to be acknowledged and then for them to help you. But they did let us leave luggage until check in time. It felt older but was clean.

The location was perfect and Lauterbrunnen is a cute town. The hotel was adequate in every way but I would say it was spectacular. The room had a sloped ceiling which was a little awkward but we didn’t hate it.

The location was excellent. One of the top places to stay in that heavenly area. The room had a wonderful balcony. Size of the room was good. The complimentary breakfast was not that good though. Appreciate if the include more items.

This time we stayed at room 40, at the top. Weird build, shower on one side, sink on another, toilet another. Except for beds, facilities look and smell old and dated. Half of the plugs did not work (or we could not make them work). Not a hanger to hang clothes. No balcony on this one, and room is dark. Room 42, on the other hand, was much more open, and less strange construction. so depends on your luck on which one you will get for exactly same price.

Best of this place is location. Beds were very good. We have stayed before in here with friends, so we have seen 4 rooms in total in this hotel (this time rooms 40 and 42). Free parking is good, and they allowed us to leave the car all day after we checked out. that was very nice. Price is decent given the location but definitely place is showing age, and some rooms are definitely more dated than others.

U kuponi postoji ugradeni fen, ali ne postoji uticnica za njega. Svijetlo u kupaoni nismo mogli ugasiti jer nije radio prekidac. O svemu smo obavijestili osoblje ali nista nisu poduzeli. Dali su nam fen koji se gasio svakih 3 minute od pregrijavanja. Imali smo sobu s terasom koja je bila zarastena u travi.

Check-in staff will appear only at 4pm. Even if you reach hotel at 3 or 3.30pm you need to wait. there is no flexibility. I found this bit rude

Generally I don't write reviews but to help community I am writing this. Location is excellent. many vloggers have videos taken just opposite the hotel as its good location. Restaurant is good a but pricey. We ate here and Hornerpub (2min walk. Good food and not pricey. Indian curry and rice is good+ other food as well) We are family of 4 from Uk and room was good but definitely bathroom needs improvement but its not bad to use now. Hotel has free parking.

Bathroom didnt smell good, there is a note saying if you the room gets uncomfortable/hot please let reception know, we did and there was nothing they could do about it, huh? why bother?!? Not even a fan to help. Im all for environmentally friendly, but not at the expense of comfort.

There was 1 electric socket in the entire room, but we were provided with an extension/multiplier. I always take with me a charger that needs one socket but has multiple USB exits, so it all was good for charging our phones, power banks, photocamera batteries. The building inside had a bit funny smell, like some old flats do, but I have an extremely sensitive nose, so probably most people would not notice. it didn't bother me much though.

The location is great (and that is what you pay for) - in the heart of Lauterbrunnen, near the Staubach waterfall. From some rooms, you can see the waterfall. From my room, I could not see it, but I could hear it and was falling asleep to the sound of the waterfall at night. The room is basic (as I guess all hotels there - I stayed in two), but has everything necessary. The beds are fine. The room was clean. There was a kettle that I think no one used because it smelled a lot like plastic. We haven't ate in the restaurant so can't comment on that. But the views from the restaurant are on the waterfall - can recommend it just because of that.

The bathroom shower curtain was way too tall for that rod and the bottom of the curtain had so much scum and discoloration, it was gross. If they can’t raise the shower bar, they need to clip it with binder clips or something. I didn’t bother to ask the front staff for some- they seemed frustrated by a simple question that I had asked previously.

It could have been cleaner. I had to wipe up the electric fan because it was covered with dust. Overall, place felt dusty. Also the breakfasts were plain and scarce, there were not enough options in the buffet.
