We had a bit of a problem with the restaurant the first day there when we had lunch while waiting for the room to be ready. The wrong soup was delivered to my husband, we had to ask for napkins, and we never did receive the bruschetta we ordered. We were lodged in the annex and the Wi-Fi was not working for much of the day. They had to contact an IT person to fix it and it finally was fixed and worked well after that.

The apartment was in the roof floor, the ceiling was very near when sleeping. Breastfeeding the baby while sitting on the bed was uncomfortable. The bed in the sitting room was always falling if you sit on the front side of the bed.

We have requested a baby bed/cot but once we arrived to hotel there wasn't any baby bed. The staff carried out but it was kind of broken in one side. So we have feared and not used. It was an uncomfortable stay because beds are 2 twins and we have to sleep with baby.

Thun area was great. Hotel location is good. Annex side there is no lake view but you can smell it :) Staff was good. Breakfast was very good. Bakery products, cheese, coffee all good. Breakfast view is also amazing. Thanks

A number of rooms are in the annex which is behind the hotel with limited view. If you are unfit, get a taxi from station with your suitcases. Walk to hotel from bus stop about 700m and quite uphill.

Warm welcome and pleasant staff. Room and bathroom very clean and comfortable, nice view of the lake. Really good location for having a walk around. Lovely view of the lake and mountains towards Interlaken from the road outside the hotel. Pleasant evening meal in the garden. Lovely view of the lake from the breakfast room where there was a good selection. Easy parking opposite the hotel.

2 times I dad dinner in the hotel restaurant, one time the fish was extremely oversalted, second time the sweet and sour vegetarian dish was that much sour you couldn't eat - no replacement had been offered.

very good, like the view of the lake with snowpeaks in the distance and green trees close to the hotel. The architecture of the main building is marvellous, traditional old mansion house close to the lake, laid back from the main road, on a side road slightly up the hill. The annexe part is modern, very functional. Parking facilities are close to the hotel.

The pillows offer zero support.

The rooms are spotlessly clean, the breakfast offers enough variety for all. The surrounding areas are beautiful and the hotel is few minute walk to the lake.

Not to expect much of facilities. The water boiler kettle was at additional charge. The extra bed’s mattress was very thin that we had to place the mattress on the couch/sofa for our son to sleep on.

Thun was one of my many stops on a tour of Europe and the only one with room I didn’t pay in advance. 80% of the time there wasn’t anyone at the reception and no one reminded me of this when I checked in and out. Naturally it got marked as unpaid which wasn’t a big issue to start with. The hotel contacted me and warned about letting the authorities know. I replied immediately and apologized plus made sure it would be paid through Booking in 3 days as an automatic payment and received a confirmation reply from the hotel too. The hotel called me the next day saying they’re telling the government which became a bit funny and harassment like.

Amazing view with only steps away + restaurant with great lake view on the side. Room was spacious and clean even though we didn’t get a lake view room since it was last minute booking.

If they put coffee & tea in the rooms will be better & they must put the bug killer light in the rooms as when you open the window alot of insects enter to the room , and it be hard to sleep with all those insects around …

We had 2 rooms but not in the same building. It would have been nice if my daughter was not across the street by herself. Would have much preferred to have her room with us, rather than in a different building, but that was not an option.
