It was a little bit of walk from the bus stop. If you don’t drive be careful with the size of your luggages.

Well equipped kitchen, nice view. Comes with the visitor card which includes free bus. There’s only one room but there is a sofa bed in the living room. Love the detergent fragrance of the bed linen and towels. It’s a bit further away from town so it’s quite peaceful.

Disturbed on several mornings by noise from the floor above at approximately 5am. Otherwise very quiet.

Peaceful apartment on the edge of town. Full well equipped kitchen. WiFi excellent. Free local bus was 5-6 minutes from apartment and ran hourly during the day. Otherwise 10-15 minute walk uphill to town.

Property clean and comfortable. Location away from the main town centre so quiet and peaceful. Owner always helpful even to the point of offering a lift back to the station on departure, which was not expected but most welcome.

The location is at the bottom of a steep hill from the centre area which is not bad on the way to the apartment but when you're leaving with your bags it will be a bit of a workout.

Kitchen haa everything you need. Loved having a high chair and travel cot available for our toddler.

A very nice apartment in a quite location. Kitchen with extensive equipment does allow for some actual cooking. Has the first japanese-style toilet I saw since not living in Japan anymore 😀

The location of this chalet was absolutely perfect for us (most useful if you have a hire car), as the scenery was stunning (north face of the Eiger right in front of you), peaceful and quiet. The chalet was so well equipped, probably the most equipped self-catering place I've ever stayed in. I was very happy to see a proper cooker, oven/grill, microwave, oil, dishwashing liquid, and full sets of cutlery, crockery and other kitchen utensils. Bed was super comfortable. House was warm. Shower was perfect.

The property is at the bottom of a pretty good hill. Not a negative but something to note. The free bus was easily accessible but only comes once per hour.

The property was in a great, quiet location with unparalleled views. It included a guest card which provided free access to the city bus and discounts on several other attractions. The owner was incredibly helpful and nice.

I enjoyed my stay at Locherboden very much. The location is perfect, with excellent access to Grindelwald itself, but away from the main street so it is lovely and peaceful. Plus, it is amazing to walk out the front door every morning and see the Eiger right in front of you. Talk about spectacular! The apartment itself has everything you could want. A well-equipped kitchen, a very comfortable bed and a lovely shower and bathroom. If arriving by car there is ample free parking which is so convenient. Nadja is very helpful and is always close by to answer any queries.

The person cutting the grass at 1830-2000 was very annoying. It’s really difficult to sit outside and enjoy the view or have my kids play outside when people are working. And the lawn work was so loud (windows open in August) that it drowns our conversations inside. Would have been nice if they could have asked us when was a good/bad time to complete their tasks. Whoever lives above the apartment is incredibly noisy. Every evening it sounded like they were rearranging all the furniture in the house. The person was also up very late at night and arriving back from city/party making a lot of noise. The person above also grilled food outside our bathroom window, which is okay, but the smoke filled our apartment with a smell we did not want. A little courtesy would have been nice, to maybe move the grill, or tell us that we should close our windows. Overall, it seemed the above tenant didn’t care about common courtesies for the paying customers staying in the bottom floor apartment.

Great location, owner was very nice and helpful. The view is fantastic from the apartment. Easy access to the town, glacier, gondola, etc. Free parking. Inside of the apartment is spacious and the kitchen is very nice.
