We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomPart of my work involves vetting hotels and deciding whether to include them in a regional marketing brochure. I have seen few as bad as this one. One I did recently find was run by minimum investment, minimal expenditure, high prices and the full exploitation of the weaknesses of online bookings/review systems . They were scamming people, basically. I could not possibly speculate whether this hotel falls into this category. I should have looked more closely at the reviews before booking. I would advice anyone else to do the same. There are some 80 pages of reviews but they are not listed in chronological order which is strange. In retrospect I would be concerned by the pattern and wordings of the many extremely positive reviews as well as the owner's aggressive attempts to discredit any critical reviewers. This in itself should be a red flag to any potential guest. They will probably attempt to discredit me and my review as well, but that tactic is now starting to wear a little thin. And yes, I did certainly stay there, I am not getting mixed up with some other hotel, and I do not have any hidden agenda other than to spare others having to endure a stay at this hotel. This experience is seared on my mind The hotel was grubby and shabby, the two staff members(when they could be found) poorly presented, unhelpful and seemed utterly unmotivated. The breakfast was poor. (Are cold baked beans a rare Swiss delicacy?) The whole stay was very poor value for money. These are points that come up regularly in the reviews and it is again concerning that the owner tries to deflect them with standard responses. "Boutique hotel , continental breakfast, Switzerland is expensive etc".This is utter nonsense. Boutique hotels are invariably very pleasant, Continental breakfasts do not need to be bad, and we found much better hotels in Switzerland (Interlaken even) that were better value for money.
View was nice but in the general Swiss context, par for the course.

SingaporeBreaking this down to 2 points: 1. The location - of the hotel is a 2 minutes walk from the train station (nederried). But to note it's an upward slope to the hotel so it can get pretty tiring after a long day and if you have heavy luggages. 2. Lack of facilities - This is a "boutique" hotel as what the staff had repeatedly mentioned to us during check-in. And this was their justification to not have an elevator and air-conditioning in their facility. A) So please be mindful with your luggage size as you might be carrying your baggages up 2 flights of stairs to your room. We had about 6 baggages for a family of 5 + 1 baby and it was very unwelcoming after rolling the luggages up the steep slope and over 5 hours of travel from the previous location we were from. B) There are NO air-conditioning in the facility, so i would strongly avoid staying during summer unless you're comfortable with a warmer room. We assumed Sept would be cooler, but thanks to global warming it was still pretty summery and warm and the air can get dry and stale which was was very uncomfortable for our baby (17months). We were provided with 1x table fan for the whole room and safe to say that was insufficient, opening the windows didn't help unless you're facing the lake for which you will have to open the balcony for the breeze to get in. We requested for another fan in the room and got a smaller table fan (which didn't help much) but was thankful to have it rather than to survive the room with just 1 fan. According to the owner/ staff, there are limited hotels with air-conditioning within the area. So please check if the property has AC before you book it during non-winter travels!
1. If you get the lake view room, the view is spectacular. 2. It was great that breakfast was included, a great start to our day since there were little to no eatery nearby and we had to travel out by train or car (if you're driving) for meals. The train station is nearby (down a slope) and can get you to Interlaken OST station within 5 minutes. 3. The room was clean and the toilet had a bidet which was rather surprising. Overall, the place is clean but they do not do a thorough house keeping (only replacing of towels). 4. The staff were knowledgeable and provided us with necessary travel informations.

SpainThe facilities are falling down, all the furniture is broken and lacking any kind of maintenance, the service/staff is careless at best and the food from the breakfast was plain horrible, the coffee machine was not operational and the staff did nothing to fix during our 2 days stay. Stay away from this place at all cost.
