Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

GermanyIt is not really a problem since it is autumn, the AC or Thermoregulatory device was not functioning at the moment. But it did not affect the comfort of our room. Another thing was the windows cannot be opened or I just do not know how.
It is Holiday Inn for you. Staff were really friendly and nice too us. Rooms were comfortable and cozy. Easily accessible thru train, bus and tram. You can actually walk from city center of Bern to the Hotel if have time to kill. I cannot really say anything about the other facilities but I guess it has the same quality of what the rooms can offer.

United KingdomWhen we arrived it looked like the hotel was closed as there were traffic cones blocking the whole entrance to the front and the entrance to the hotel was all closed off again with traffic cones we had to park on the pavement opposite and wheel our luggage through the bar/restaurant next door?? no offer of any assistance? when i told of my dislike to this fact to the lady checking us in she was not pleased and informed me that the front is blocked off for coaches? and the entrance was closed as it had been cleaned and was wet i did ask why they do not clean at night?? as for the cordoned off whole front of a hotel and no baggage staff at what is suppose to be a 4 star I have no idea? But not to worry as the member of staff checking us in did tell me if I dont like it here is the managers card to contact him!!! then the room was not ready as check in is not till 3pm that is very late and then after you have gone down two floors to find the toilet you then discover you need a code to get into it?? The lady send you off down the underground car park where you eventually find there parking area only for this to be chained off?? back up to reception to almost be called a lier until you show the photo of the chained off entrance the whole checking in experience was a complete mess and was far to stressful after we had driven 8 hours to get there it needs sorting out!!the room was very basic and needs a refurbishment holes in bedside cabinets scratched walls
Breakfast. the fact it backed on to the shopping centre so good choice of restaurants and the Spa and Gym was good these are independent to the Hotel

ItalyThe hotel is severely understaffed - the employees seemed to do their best, but did not have enough time to provide sufficient service. The cleaners did a poor job on the room, skipping jobs (like cleaning dust off the floors and cleaning sheets for our multiple-night stay). They were also running very late to have the rooms done, twice not cleaned by the time we returned and we weren't the only room waiting for service. Reception staff had not communicated instructions with each other. Again, I emphasise that the staff tried their best - but the hotel does not seem to have enough people on shift!
The free access to the waterpark with wellness centre was excellent. The room was comfortable. The location was convenient.

Switzerland- greater cleanliness of the room (hair in the bathroom, duvet with a green stain, floor that rises near the armchair) - bathroom kit already used and closed as new (no one checked if it was intact) - door lock (latch) broken - exit from the car park to be improved (at check-in we asked if it was possible to leave the car park and return, and we were told that it was possible and to easily use the car park receipt several times. In the evening it worked, but the next day upon departure he didn't open the barrier, and we had to go to the reception twice. The second time the person at the reception was a bit annoyed).

SwitzerlandThe room walls have not enough isolation/ noise reduction. I could hear my neighbours and I could not rest properly. The bathroom has a led that it's helpfull to not fall in the dark, unfortunately the door of the toilet is transparent and right in front there is a mirror. If I wanted 100% dark in my room, it was not possible.
