Main railway line runs right alongside the property and despite the complimentary ear plugs and roll down shutters, it is impossible to ignore as trains run throughout the night. Sometimes even the bed vibrates! Promotional picture made us think that it was actually on the edge of the lake. Tricky to turn into entrance by car as immediately after going under a bridge and on a pedestrian crossing.

Interesting building conversion. Lots of thought gone into what guests might need especially if staying a few days like fully equipped communal kitchens etc. Rooms comfortable and clean with coffee making equipment, lockable safe and fluffy dressing gowns etc. Able to park free of charge overnight on road at back of block. Short walk to the beautiful floral lakeside promenade.

Like everything in Switzerland, expensive. We were 2 levels up a curved stone staircase. No lift. Luckily my husband carried my heavy baggage up and down

Trains pass just over the building and you can hear them but I stayed for one night only so it was OK.

The location, the view of the lake outside the building is great. There is a bus stop just outside the guesthouse. The room was big and equipped with a kitchen. The breakfast was very good. The girl at reception was very kind and explained everything in details.

The room faces the train tracks which is noisy when a train comes past, although with the window closed it's not a problem at all. They do provide ear plugs.

Great location with friendly staff and easy check-in. The room was a good size and comfortable, and the shared bathroom was clean and everything worked well. The breakfast was had a broad selection of tasty food.

Room had minimal view. For our room, toilets were shared. Bathing room was also shared, but it did have the huge tub.

Very nice place to stay instead of Geneva. Easy train ride to Montreux from GVA, ~10 minute walk from train station. Room was very comfortable for 2 parents and one adult child. Proprietor and staff very friendly, gave us a fun tip for dinner (the Museum), and helped us get situated when we showed up early (stowed bags and went to see the castle on the water). Some epic hikes above Montreux, easily accessible from the B&B, and often you can take the funicular down--the Montreux-les-Planches station is very close. Epic jetted hot tub in shower room. My family says breakfast was very good (I left very early for a hike to Rocher de Naye, and we were there only one night).

Opportunities for improvement. 1) No-one in the office when I arrived. A notice said if no-one there call phone number x. On doing so, the person I talked to appeared from the hotel entrance, saying I could have rung the office doorbell - which presumably rings in the hotel. Suggest adding wording to try the doorbell to the notice in the office window. 2) There was no mention of the free Montreux Riviera pass when I checked in, and it's not mentioned anywhere in the hotel info in Booking.com - that I could see. It was only the following morning when I asked another member of staff that I discovered the hotel does offer it. This is valuable free benefit that should.be better advertised. Another accommodation i stayed at had it printed off and gave it to everyone when they checked in.

Everything was perfect Except you need to be careful as u have to take your luggage by stairs. Secondly, I missed it but u have to share the bathroom with another room. If you are a family then this could be challenging. Other then that I would not say anything which impacted. Great location

Room we got was located just in front of the railroad (and I mean it IN FRONT, like 3 meters away!!) You can hear each train passing despite closed windows. The place provides the earplugs though - so noise level can be tamed a little. The room door is not sound insulated either - so you can hear very very well everything that is happening in the common areas and in the corridor - again solvable with earplugs. A little bit outside the center, but that is not an issue - Montreux is not that big anyways.

Very good breakfast! Location next to the bus stop, and just few meters from the promenade. The kitchen, bathroom and facilities were modern and nicely maintained. Complete set of extras (sewing kit, razor, toothpaste and toothbrush etc.) on arrival - very nice touch!

The only minus is in one of the rooms(not all) you hear the trains sound.

Nice facility. Clean. Big kitchen - if you want to cook something. Has washing machines - if you want to wash. Very good and responsive host. Good breakfast. Oh..and they do have a pool table :-) for adults and Pac-Man for kids to play. Excellent location. Very good value for money.
