Too expensive for what it’s worth. The breakfast was basic. They brand themselves a 4-star hotel but they the facilities were more like a 2-star hotel.

Booking a night in this property was an informed decision because I read the reviews beforehand. So I wasn’t surprised to see the old carpeting, old furniture, old-looking interior. I loved that hotel is only 3 min by foot to the main shopping street because that was all I was after.

No in house fitness facility

The location is the best. Walking distance to downtown. The staff (I forgot to ask his name) that is assigned 12/25-12/27 in the afternoon - early evening is very helpful. He booked my cheese fondue restaurant and my ride back to the airport. He made our stay very comfortable.

The decor - needs modernising

This is a great place to stay in central Zurich. First thing to note is that the property looks and feels a little 'dated' in terms of decor and facilities. However, if you look past that, it is clean, well located and, most important of all - it has excellent customer service. I can't rate the staff highly enough here - we arrived late due to train delays and elderly parents needed help with baggage while we had to take the baby to the doctor. The staff helped with all the luggage and made sure we had what we needed. The cot for the baby was a little broken so they replaced it, they checked we had what we needed and just made sure we were comfortable. Would definitely stay again. Thank you to all the lovely staff.

The first 2 breakfast's we had- no problem, they were fantastic i.e. staff The last morning that we were there- Monday 20th- I noted that the chef/cook of the morning was scooping the fruits from one plate to another with his bare hands. He was also coughing whilst cooking eggs. I'm not a picky kinda person, and I grew up eating from kitchen's all over the world. especially in Asia- but if you are going to this sort of stuff in a 4 star hotel in FRONT of your guest, perhaps you should deserve some bad review in the food hygiene department.

The room is very spacious, clean and quiet- like we requested. I mean, the carpet can do with some steam clean, but it was clean overall. Location wise- it's about a 5-10min walk to your boutique shops and brands. Close to the lake in Zurich- literally a 5min walk to the left once you leave the hotel. The staff are super awesome, friendly and just plane nice All amenities provided like a 4 star hotel should. Daily water bottles, coffee etc... Breakfast was included with the price- nothing special, but good enough to get you through until lunchtime You're surrounded by various coffee shops. Restaurants, pending what your taste buds prefer maybe a trip away via taxi/uber Check in was easy- requested a late check-out which was granted without incurring an extra cost Bedding- well, I'm not a soft/fluffy and "sleeping like your on the clouds (like they say their pillows/beds are)"- so I did not like the pillow- it was way tooo soft for my liking- 2 pillows piled up and yet my head was laid flat as a pancake on the bed. The bed was also a little too firm for me (they did offer to adjust the bed configuration- cause that is the type of bed you get here, the wow factor bed) but I pushed through. Overall, I had no issues with it

The hotel is not new and only the bathroom has been renovated. The pillows were too soft. The room was so much smaller than the photos on the booking.com website. There was no electrical kettle and no tea. Only a coffee maker with one coffee capsule.!!! I had to ask for more coffee capsules each time. I didn't receive any information about free airport transport.

The location was very good. Close to public transport. The staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was selected nicely.
