Breakfast buffet could be improved

Breakfast was OK though would expect better bread choice, spa was really nice, room quite and clean, very convenient for a familly

WiFi: We stayed in the upstairs corner room, and the WiFi did not reach the room (room 216). The hotel should invest in another router/extender for the corner rooms because that was a major downfall. Since we didn't have cellular service, we could not access the internet from within our room. I would rate the WiFi a 2/10 because of that (although it worked great in the lobby and common areas). Restaurant: We had one weird interaction with one of the restaurant waiters. He dropped money from another table on his way to the register, so we picked it up and tried to get his attention to give it back. He couldn't be bothered and acted extremely rude, refusing to give us attention. When we finally gave it back to him, he was ungrateful.

The staff are incredibly friendly. The tall man who works the front desk/restaurant did an amazing job of making us feel welcome. The hotel is in a great location, just a quick walk to ski rentals and the gondola up the mountain. The Spa is incredibly nice, and we liked that it requires reservations as you usually have it to yourself.

Great place to stay in the middle of a long trek through the alps. There wasn’t much open the evening we were there so we had dinner in the hotel restaurant - it was delicious!

Our room faced the street which brought a lot of noise. We like it cool at night and having the window open caused the noise from the street to be even louder. Since it is a very small town, I imagine any hotel close to the main part of town would have the same issue of hearing loud people at all hours of the night. We will definitely consider a future trip to this village and hotel, but would request a room not at the front.

the period I stayed was mid December, not yet the ski season. so the heating in the room was barely on. I slept under two blankets.

The rooms are a bit old and we had a smaller one, but everything is decent and works so that wasn't really a problem.

The location was beautiful. Zinal has a lot to offer. The staff was extremely friendly. There was a very nice wellness area.

Spa area ultra modern and appeared new and really lovely, plus a maximum limit to number of people in there at any time which gave an excellent chance of using the jacuzzi, etc. The staff were very attentive to detail, communicating amongst themselves to discreetly go out of their way to make things perfect (on learning that I had a blinding headache after skiing, they made sure that we were seated in a very quiet area for the evening meal). Staff went above and beyond, and were all happy and cheerful, which reflects on excellent management.
