Great location. Great room. Really comfy bed. Friendly helpful staff - who even helped me plan my days there. They couldn't do enough for you. Delicious buffet breakfast - the pastries were sensational. A special call out to Rita for wonderful service at the buffet breakfast. The complimentary mini bar refresh is fantastic (included 2xbeer per day)! And as an Aussie with a terrible AUD to CHF exchange rate, the discount of 10% at their restaurant, Barry's, was most welcome and their meals were really nice.

There were a few flies in the restaurant area which I found annoying

A seating area was provided, but the armchairs had old stains. I covered them immediately. I would prefer not having them instead of seeing the stains Could not customise room temperature

Location: The hotel is on the main street, very close to the train station, shops, restaurants Room: sheets, bathroom were perfectly clean; booked a room with a view and indeed, the view was amazing! The beds were very comfortable Staff: friendly Surprise: they served free coffee and cake from 3-5 pm Overall, it was a lovely stay.

It was a little pricey for the size of the room. But the room was newly renovated and clean, so nothing to complain about other than the size.

Great location, helpful, friendly and efficient staff, and the on-site restaurant was decent too.

There is no AC which I can understand but it was very uncomfortable at night. They provide a fan to use but the cord could not reach the deck door so we just blew warm air around room,

Brilliant from start to finish. Seamless check in; room was large with a great view of the mountains. Dinner in the hotel was incredible as was breakfast the following morning. Great location, central to all so really good for a short stay.

The beds were big but a little bit too soft.

The room was big, no problem with suitcases. The bathroom was also very nice and big. The breakfast was very good and had a lot of choices. The location is great near the railway station (5 min.) and the FIRST station (cablecar, 5.min.).

Fantastic hotel in the centre of Grindelwald. Within easy walking distance of the cable cars and amenities. Beautifully clean throughout with huge rooms. Friendly staff and fantastic breakfast! Private secure parking to the rear of the building.

visiting this hotel by car is not practical. a) there is no drop off point, where one can unload their luggage from the car b) the outdoor car park is quite far away, and it involves a slope...so it's not convenient to move large bags or suitcases c) the indoor car park, which I presume is more accessible, but costs quite a bit more. given the hot weather in europe almost every year...a hotel at this price level needs to provide air conditioning....

the breakfast was VERY good...and the staff serving the breakfast were very proactive and helpful

No iron in room, but available on request. Shower pressure was a little unreliable and the gym was a little warm for my run on the treadmill. The flys in the bar/restaurant area on the ground floor were irritating, what was that about?

Fantastic location, right in the heart of Grindelwald. Wonderful spacious room with astonishing views. The hotel has some excellent facilities and I would recommend a meal at Barry's Restaurant, the food was excellent. Staff we super helpful. This is an excellent hotel, highly recommended.
