Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This hostel is better than any hotel I've ever stayed in! It was very interesting to stay in a previous prison and I like how some details have still remained. Everything is modern with coded locks, you get a fabulous room with a beautiful view. We stayed in a room with a private bathroom and shower, so I was really surprised when I saw a normal and actually great hairdryer! Those things are so rare to get in other places!! The kitchen is perfect, you get all the tools you need. We had amazing light breakfast, all the ingredients were fresh and local. Hostel is perfectly located in the oldtown, so all the attractions are easily reached by foot! Hostel also gave us a Chür guest cards for our whole stay, so we got so many discouns, free entries at museums and free public transport - such an amazing thing to give to your guests!

United StatesIt can be a little loud at night when you leave your window open since there is no A/C as it looks down on a very popular and nice courtyard restaurant/bar.
We wanted something different and knew what we were getting into. Very small room but the bed was comfortable and the shower was plenty big. It wasn’t easy to drive to and find parking but was worth the frustration. A great location and great restaurants near by!

United KingdomThere was nothing not to like! It was about a 15/20 walk from the train station…but it was lovely being in the old part of town so the distance to the train station wasn’t a problem for us.
What a cool, fantastic place to stay! A building with loads of character…tastefully modernised from being a former prison! Lovely and clean and comfortable! We were upgraded to a family room free of charge! Receptionists were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming! Located in the beautiful old town in Chur! We loved our 3 night stay here!

It was exceptionally clean and the staff was extremely helpful. I had never stayed in a hostel before and was a little nervous. It was a fantastic experience! I made new friends and everyone in our room was super respectful. Overall it is a superbly clean property, with helpful staff, in a safe environment. I almost forgot, it’s less than a 10 minute walk from the train station. Great location!

United KingdomThe curtains weren’t very good and let in a lot of light. The bed could have been a bit cleaner as there were a couple of bits on the duvet when we arrived, but nothing for a major issue.
The room was really nice, and I liked the old prison feel which made it feel really unique. The staff and communication was excellent, and the square outside with the bar was great!
