The free shuttle bus to and from the station was lovely. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The room was a comfortable size and had a traditional charm. Restaurant staff were also very helpful and the food was lovely.

The electric teapot could be in every room as an extra service to the guest as well as water in the fridge.

The shuttle between the train station and the hotel. The personnel extremely helpful. Breakfast ok. They gave us two bottles of water free of charge for our trip when we left. I was with a cold and ask for hot water to take a medicinal tea and gave me an electric teapot and cups.

The swimming pool was a little too cold for me 26 degrees which I guess is still acceptable. When we stayed there Cosmos and Sunshine holidays also had booked their guests here. On our second morning we had 2 seats reserved for breakfast but on among the seats for all the group travellers. This was not our best breakfast experience. On our first morning we had a table in a corner reserved for us which was just perfect and somehow I expected the same for the second day.

It had a swimming pool and sauna which we were not aware of. We also did not know that the hotel runs a shuttle bus on request down to the station in St Moritz. This is a real bonus as the hotel was far too far to walk and a taxi cost us 25 Fr.

Good specious room with refrigerator in the room and ensuite bathroom. Very good breakfast with lot of choices. Private transport to train station on request free of charge. Hotel close to city centre, just 2 stops by public transport.

Great hotel, very nice ambience, spacious and clean rooms, very good breakfast. Staff is very polite and understanding. Our flight was delayed by more than 12h and we arrived past midnight at the hotel. They confirmed that we still can check in having in mind the circumstances and left our key at the reception. The hotel is situated close to the mountain and has great rooms views too.

A more central location would have been nice, but the property is otherwise excellent and restaurants/shops aren't too far of a walk.

The breakfast buffet was better than expected; eggs and sausage plus the usual "continental" items. The hotel isn't really within walking distance of the train station (especially with luggage) but they have a free shuttle available on request.

There is nothing that we didn't like.

We loved Hotel Baren. It was just a one night stop off before catching the Glacier Express, but turned out to be much more than we had anticipated. The room was great, comfortable and spacious and the check in process was friendly and easy. We also had a view of mountains from our bedroom window! The breakfast was tasty, with a wide range of choices and a nice dining room to eat in. Finally, the shuttle service to the train station was easy to arrange and very efficient. We would definitely stay again!

Very nice old style hotel in excellent condition. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mary. On arrival she handed out all the information on places and mountain peaks to visit. My room was very comfortable, quiet and clean. Everything was in excellent working condition, also wifi & TV.

As for things I did not like, it is very difficult to find some. The only detail of the room that I can complain about are the curtains. Indeed, we woke up a bit early because of the brightness that penetrated through the light fabric.

As far as I am able to judge, I am very satisfied with my staying. I particularly liked the furniture of the room and the cleanliness of it. What is more, the staff was very kind and welcoming and embraced all of our requests.

Door keys, like old ones the iron key , no smart door opening nor card, also if u went out planning to stay out over 11pm clock you have to leave your room key and replace it with the hotel main door key xD
