A suggestion to travelers, if you take the bus, do not follow Google maps, it will guide you to the stop near a park which is actually far from the hostel, check the host’s message first

After 10 p.m., the use of common areas is restricted, including no showering or using a hair dryer. As it was nearing 10 p.m., all bathrooms were occupied, and I was waiting. There was still 1 minute left until 10 o’clock, and I was confused about whether I could use the bathroom. There is a evening, Rainner saw this and immediately opened the en-suite room door so I could use its toilet. On the morning before I checked out, everyone was using the bathroom, so I had to wait again.

I had a wonderful four-night stay here. This place is perfect for a slow-paced solo trip to relax and unwind, and it’s also a great stopover during travels. The living room and bedroom have large floor-to-ceiling windows that offer beautiful views of the houses in the small town on the outskirts of Lucerne, with snow-capped mountains in the distance. On sunny mornings, it’s very comfortable to relax on the balcony, read, work, smoke, eat, or just daydream. I originally booked only one night, but I extended my stay for three more nights. I met young people from all over the world—mature, polite, kind, good energy, interesting, and cool. I was feeling a bit down at first, but my mood was lifted by the new friends I made, my new temporary housemates. Rainer, the host, is a fabulous person. He shared his favorite treat with me—‘coconut ice cream’‘ shaved ice’. I found an album in the cabinet where he documented the house’s construction process. He creats nice introduction video, website providing some travel suggestion. In the evenings, we watched Netflix on the big TV in the living room with other cool and attractive people. Efi, who’s from Greece, was also very nice and gave me a detailed introduction to the house and its facilities when I checked in. By the way, the kitchen here is really clean and bright. It has all the cooking utensils, tableware, seasonings, and a dishwasher, making it feel just like home. It actually made me want to cook something (to be honest, I’ve never cooked in an Airbnb before—partly because Switzerland is expensive, and partly because the common areas in other places always felt a bit dirty, but not here). After 10 p.m., the use of common areas is restricted, making the place very quiet for an early night’s sleep.

Guests didn’t obey the no loud noise after 10pm and were making loud noises way into midnight :(. No issues with property.

Everything is perfect, they give you free bus ticket so you don’t have to worry about walking a lot to arrive at the house. Read the instructions before the check in 😉

This place is amazing! I am already planning my next Eurotrip and wanna include Luzern in my schedule again. The house is perfect, nice view, good furniture and the team is the best. Ray is the best host ever.

This is absolutely recommendable! At first I was a bit skeptical - mostly because of personal reasons - as I’ve never slept in a shared room with strangers before. But the stay at Ray’s truly exceeded all my expectations. The House is beautiful and super spacey. There will most likely be people around to chat with but also the possibility to have some “personal space” if that’s desired. The host is just kind of living his own life there in the midst of everything, which actually brings a super good vibe in there. When I was there, he casually had some friends dropping by for a BBQ on the terrace, which is surrounded by the most incredible view. Safe to say that I’ve never felt like “being home” so fast. 😆 I know, that he states in the description, that this stay probably would be most ideal for people that are more outgoing/extroverts; but in case you’re not, I really don’t think that should hold you back! People were really respectful. What goes the hosts, I believe they’re used to be around all kind of people and therefore they’ll quickly know just how to approach you n meet your needs during the stay. If you travel on a budget, the house also offers you the great opportunity to cook yourself - and dine with the finest view. This is’nt just a stay - it’s a unique experience!

The internet switches off once per month in the early morning. I was the one got so confused and was wondering why there was no internet. No panic, it will be fixed soon when the host wake up.

The host is very supportive. If you encounter some people with bad behavior, please contact the host, and do not suffer it yourself. The host will sort it out for you immediately. Also, he is trying his best to keep the share area clean. I like the quiet time (after 10 pm). If you like to go to bed early, then you don't need to worry about others having partying in the house.
