The only means of communication with the staff is English. There are many points that are not completely clear in the information they provide. For example, if your stay is less than 5 days, you have to pay a linen package because the beds are not made up. You have to leave a deposit of 100€ extra to what you have already paid, in case of damages or in case your cabin is dirty. You have to do the cleaning of your cabin before you leave: sweeping, mopping, leaving everything completely dry, etc., etc. Towels are included in the linen package, and it is not an option not to pay for them, even if you bring your own. The internet gets disconnected a lot and every so often you have to reset the password. We were a group of 6 people and the cabin was very small. While it is true that you come to have fun not to sleep, it is still very uncomfortable in the morning or in the afternoon.

The place is located on the outskirts of Interlaken, easily accessible by bus 21, bicycle or own car. The area is very safe and quiet, the views are beautiful.

We liked the clean bedding, lakeside location, responsiveness of the kind and helpful staff, the nearby restaurant and store, and the fact that the cabin was well-equipped.

I had to look for the reception and though paid for the linen i had to dress the mattress and the quilts myself. Also cleaning the property and leaving it the way it was available was not a good experience. So far all properties i had travelled had their own house keeping staff unlike here. Also the WIFI was very very bad and disconnects in every few minutes.

The managers were good and the property was clean.

Im sure this is raised in most comments but I would like to make it more clear for future travellers: 1. The quoted price for the stay does NOT include bed linen and towels. So be prepared to shell extra £30-£60ish for that depending on your needs. I think its a basic thing that should be included in the stay. 2. You are supposed to clean the place before leaving. I personally do feel that its important for guests to clean the house before leaving but I don't think its practically possible to 'deep clean' the place specially on a vacation. The expectation here is to vacuum, deep clean the showers with soap and scrub them etc - which can easily be 3-4 hour job if not more. And after all that if its not upto the mark you are anyway charged a cleaning fee of additional £50. 3. There is a chance that your gas might run out in odd hours and you won't be able to cook. (However, in my case it was replaced immediately and kudos to that - but will not be in odd hours). Overall, I feel I truly loved the place but be prepared for the above or simply just add £100 extra to your stay cost and forget about it.

Its a beautiful caravan house in an excellent location near lake Thun and very accessible by bus from both Interlaken OST and Interlaken West stations. It has a well equipped kitchen for cooking. I think the best part of the stay is that you can just go for a swim in the lake anytime you want.

Nothing to dislike, perhaps self guidance is a bit confusing that's why we took the wrong path the first time. But that was us though ;) And probably the space for luggage outside just in case needed. We are 3 adult pax with 3 med size luggage, and it's packed, though our campers were quite bigger.

Like everything in here. The location was perfect, just outside the bus stop. The lake thun view was spectacular, my neighbour in front of our camper accidentally welcomed us and gave warning about the heater. The camper itself was clean and comfortable. Actually it can fit for 6 pax, but can be overwhelmed if luggage were included. Claudia at the receptions was so helpful, we arrived precisely at 4pm and she easily helped us check in and explained things (inc deposit). At first we couldn't find our camper, and took the wrong side of the path, so we went back to the reception and there she was. Would definitely come back some day, here 👍

location is a bit far and we would need to take a bus, which is crowded. Traveling by bus, with less frequent bus in the evening, adds to inflexibility in our planning. maybe easier for people who rented a car or plan to stay more near the lake. deposit and renting sheets was done in cash, which cause some trouble because we did not bring enough.

The location was great, just out of the centre of Interlaken, with easy bus route to get us there and back. Beautiful lake Thun scenery. Restaurant on the caravan grounds was great. Overall, my wife and l strongly recommend this location.👍🏻

All information on the check-in procedure is sent through email. We arrived at 9.00 p.m, so quite late. It was lucky that the host was still awake, she helped us to find where our cabin was. Otherwise, on a dark night like that, it was not easy to locate our cabin by using the map provided in the arrival documents. Moreover, it was summer, so the camp is really full. And the host of the camping area is not only Swiss Altogold, there are many other hosts. So, really not easy to find the location of the cabin. And there was no wifi at all, so we could not use the gmaps easily. There was no wifi at all. They said that there were power trip yesterday so that the router needed to restart etc etc... but we found that many reviews told the same thing. And because it was summer, the camping area was fully occupied, so a bit too crowded. So, if you want to have a peaceful stay, it is not the choice. One more thing, we only ordered to hire bedsheets (family package), we brought our own towels. But, the bedsheets came in one package with the towels. So we sort of were forced to hire both bedsheets and towels, of course with higher price.

The cabin and the kitchen was fully equipped. During our stay, the Kid's Summer Program is on, so we can send our kids there, while we had our own activities. The kids really enjoy the program. There are a playground for the kids. The in-house store provides all the needs during our stay. There are also washing machines if you need one. The most terrific thing is the lake!! We swam in the lake everyday! It was very nice, and the kids really love it. We recommend to bring your swim shoes, because the lake ground is a bit stony. The bus stop is right in front of the camping area, with 30-minute headtime. So you can go to the city center easily. You can also go to the city center by using the boat, also with 30-minute headtime. There is also an in-house restaurant, if you are not in-favour for cooking, just go there.

The location is 15 to 20 min away from Interlaken OST. The bus frequency will reduce after 6PM from 2 to 1 bus/hour. We need to clean(No cleaning service in the end) and give back the house as it was given in the starting. If it is not cleaned properly, they will charge 50 Euros/CHF. We have to prepare our own bed with the provided Lenin on the day of arrival. If you want to change it, they will charge extra.

The house is located near the Thun lake and you can do swimming or sit near the lake. You will find lot of people by car and staying in their own van's and tents.

The camping site is on the shore of the lake Thun. The site is very calm and the staff was very nice & friendly. There are 2 private beaches on Thun Lake where you can spend your time in hot summers or in the evening with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. You can easily go to Interlaken by car, bus or by boat ferries. They provide you with the public transport pass through which you can use public transports for free.

The Altogold is co-located with several other rentals. It was very expensive with all additional costs. While I wouldn’t want to complain about Wi-Fi because that’s the last thing you need on this type of holiday, I like to read and had no Wi-Fi. They say they do but it doesn’t reach all cabins. When you travel from abroad all of this makes everything more difficult. You have to rent sheets, clean the house before going, make sure you check in (first night we had no keys). You had to adapt your schedule to fit with the property and versus them being available during normal working hours. It was fun and I liked it just won’t go back to this particular property.

The property was located with other cabin/campers and it was a great summer visit seeing children camping and families having a lot of outdoor fun.

The gas hob had to be lit with a lighter which we struggled with, one of those lighters on a stick would be better and would mean less burnt fingers! Or long matches.

The location on Lake Thun is great, you can easily get on a boat from close by. The bus service to Interlaken is very easy. The new building with the washing machines and lounge areas were really nice. We were in a chalet, but if you were camping lots of facilities on site for cooking and washing as well.

Staff when booking were very helpful and quick to respond to my enquiries. Altogold-Swiss reception Staff onsite were helpful but only available a few hours a day. Another fan for the second bedroom is essential as weather was very hot when we arrived (wouldn’t have been able to sleep if storm hadn’t come through). We would have liked to hire bikes to ride into Interlaken as lots of great cycleways around but none available near the campground.

Comfortable cabin in caravan park set on lakefront with beautiful scenery. Nice to be able to swim in lake and small supermarket at reception. Reasonable wifi but limited free amount each day. Kids could join in activities at kids centre (mostly designed for under 10yrs) but boys enjoyed soccer match. Free access to Interlaken pool included with camping card and kids loved using the waterslide and diving towers. Didn’t have time to catch free ferry to Interlaken unfortunately. (Free bus to town with camping card too). Would stay here again.
