Noisy hotel with very small rooms. While the neighborhood is central with plenty of restaurants the streets around are filling up with prostitutes at night.

Room 303 feels a little draft from Windows at night. And breakfast very simple.

The rooms were a little spartan, and it would have been nice to have carpeting on the floors. The rooms felt “cold” in the welcoming sense.

Location was outstanding. And we really enjoyed the breakfast. Staff were also very friendly and helpful.

Excellent location for early flight - trolleys available in hotel and walk to terminal completely inside (under cover) terminal one is closest, but two is only a 7 minute walk. Comfortable hotel, good staff, blockout curtains, good size room Taxi from Zurich historical centre was €75

The location is good, although it was a distance from the train station, about 10 - 20 minutes walk, you can take the tram No 4, which stops at the hotel with a short walk. The breakfast we decent and the staff were fantastic and very helpful.

Overall great - an older hotel so rooms and lift are small, but refurnished and bathrooms look new- just not much room with a big suitcase as racks too small. A kettle in the room would be good or one on the floor drinks station.

Great value for Zurich. Larger king bed was comfortable. Heating good. Good breakfast with great hardworking staff. Extremely clean hotel.

On our first stay in ‘small queen room’ the mattress was getting a bit old and uncomfortable, but on a second stay the king room bed was much better, so pay more for bigger bed. Bathrooms very small but new and clean. Not having a kettle in the room - you can get hot water at reception but one lift is very slow.

Great location in old town with lots of restaurants and short walk to train station. Very clean. Affordable when most hotels in Zurich are expensive. Includes reasonable breakfast - the staff work very hard in breakfast area.

Very centrally located with access to all major attractions in the old town. Staff was very helpful and hotel offers around the clock free coffees and pastries and a complimentary stock of soft drinks and water in the minibar.

The Hotel Alexander is located right at the start of a Christmas market. - All the sights can be discovered on foot. - Very close to the railway station - The windows are very well soundproofed and slept very quietly. - Breakfast with regional products. Breakfast room is a bit small for so many guests. Luckily we were seated before the queue began at the door. Room was smaller than depicted. Noise from passers by in the pedestrian area went on quite late. The housekeeping closet was adjacent and noise from the housekeepers vacuuming and obtaining cleaning products and room supplies started a bit early.

Breakfast was excellent with many choices. Very central location.

Rooms are small. Bad isolation. Toilet desk was scratchy and old, so should be replaced.

Great location. Nice personnel. Checked in earlier than expected, thanks for that. Nice touch with a free first refill of mini bar, as well as the tea and coffee at the lobby. Apparently you can get free tickets to the zoo, but we didn't have time for that. Very nice heating in the bathroom.

I enjoyed very much during my stay at this hotel. The location is not really near the main station but it is easy to walk without luggage about 10-15 mins. We reached Zurich by train and took a tram no4 to hotel. The check-in is easy and the lady at counter is the one of the friendliest service staff I met during this 2 weeks. She also help us to book a shuttle service to airport on the last day. The room is spacious good for 3 persons and bed is comfy and look exactly the same from the pic The breakfast is good enough for us, coffee, eggs bacon and yogurt and cheese.
