Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Excellent location, right across the road from Wellesley station and short walk to Bloor-Yonge. Easy access with code or electronic key- no physical key needed! Excellent amenities with more towels etc available if needed

United KingdomI was in the basement, which wasn't what I expected but the heating was on full blast which made my room absolutely boiling hot and so I had to leave the window open, which due to the level of the room, meant that was at pavement/sidewalk level outside, which I didn't love. It also made the room quite loud as you had to listen to everything going on outside. That isn't a huge issue for me, but worth advising people who need quiet to sleep. The TV didn't work either so I could only use the room to sleep and shower - not a huge issue, but worth pointing out.
The location of the Sonder was useful and walkable to lots of the good bars and rtestaurants in Toronto but there are quite a few homeless people in the area - just something to be aware of.

NetherlandsThe airconditioner could use a good clean.
The location is really great. Subway only 1 minute walk and the "times square" of Toronto only a 10 minute walk. Compared to other hotel prices in Toronto this is a good budget option. The room comes with a lot of towels and cleaning and shower products. I was a solo traveller and it was perfect. For a couple it can be a bit small. Online customer support was really helpful and answered within minutes

United KingdomWould have been nice to have a way to wash the mugs or coffee machine properly! Room is very small with only one chair. Although the facilities precisely matched the description of the room on booking.com, I didn't have access to this description (wasn't sent it again as part of the confirmation) so didn't remember exactly what we would have or not have. Would also have been good to have all info printed and readily available in the room, not just on the app - e.g. about use of the luggage storage space, courtyard, trash and recycling facilities.
Fabulous location, very central, right on the edge of the Village. Although it is next to a pub and a main road, the noise level in the room was absolutely fine. Access to the room, luggage storage etc was very smooth with the key code. Good shower facilities and nice to have a range of teas in the room. Bed was comfortable, enough towels were provided and the air con worked really well. Nice to have the outdoor courtyard.

United KingdomThe room is very small and the price we paid for the room was quite a lot, more on the expensive side of stays in our trip. There is no elevator which can cause some issues but wasn’t a problem for us.
The room is cosy, the bathroom is lovely and room itself is decorated nicely. There is a transport link opposite and trains run frequently. The location is very close to a shopping mall. Overall, a nice stay in Toronto

CanadaThe room is small, I even couldn’t open my case and make it completely flat. The AC is really loud and not really cool. Maybe that’s why the room smells damp.
Very good staff and service. At around 10pm, the roof was leaking. I couldn’t tell if it was the AC. I texted on the Sonder app to see if I could change the room the next day. The staff replied immediately and checked me in another room right away. Ten times better than GLOBALSTAY. The hot shower is really good. Good location, it’s very close to everything but dirty. The parking lot next to the hotel is smelly. The app is easy and convenient to use. Pretty secure.

New ZealandMy stay was ruined by the car park next door to the hotel getting turned into a concert venue for the first two nights of my stay. It was so bad that I had to sleep at my sons apartment on the floor to get a few blocks away from the excessive noise on the 2nd night.
Overall the room was fine, very clean and good facilities. It was close to the train.

GermanyMy room faced a backyard, and it was therefore dark in the room all the time. It was not a place where one could spend time in except at night.
I liked the location, and it was really cheap for a hotel in Toronto. it was also clean. The facilities were ok.

United KingdomUnattended accommodation so there is the downside of not having anyone face to face if you have an issue. Fire alarm went off in the night due to another guests accident. Had to work out how to silence it on the fire panel.
Good location, 20 min subway to CN Tower. Lots of places to eat nearby.

United KingdomI was puzzled as I thought this was a hotel, but it was more like an AirBNB. There was no reception and there was a code to get in the front door and the room. On more than one occasion the code didn’t work straight away. I never saw a member of staff, which concerned me if there was any issue. While the room was clean and spacious, I think there was an air conditioning unit or something as there was a constant buzzing in the room. The shower didn’t have a light in it, so I was basically showering in the dark.
The room (401) was spacious, the shower was powerful, the bed was very comfortable.

United KingdomMy room was above the subway lines and the early morning services woke me up, even over the white noise of the air con. Also would have liked some vending machines on the property for cold drinks rather than rely on the nearby convenience stores.
Property was in a good location, a little north of downtown but still close enough to quickly get there if needed. The room was a basement room, a little warm but the air con kept the room cool. Bed was a good size, tea and coffee making was good. Was also nice not to need keycards, just the Sonder app. Was good to be able to use my home tv subscription services to watch tv.

ArgentinaThere is no cleaning service, and they did some reparations on the room and they left it super dirty, I had to ask for cleaning services. Also, the validation process though the web it took me more than expected, it was not and smoothly experience
The hotel is really well located and confortable. Toronto is such a expensive city, that the balance between price and quality is ok.
