It was way more expensive than I thought upon booking. From 550 to 700 and I'm not even sure why. I also heard from several people that the rooms were quite small and it's true, but didn't bother me.

It was quiet. The staff was kind. The restaurant was wonderful.

    - Paper thin walls. You hear everything next door. - They will not move rooms around to let people check in based on arrival like other hotels. - Food quality does not match price in oval room although it’s very nice. - No fridge in room.

    - Beds super comfy with high quality blankets and linen - Felt safe - Nice gym - Overall nice place - Good complimentary coffee service in lobby is very nice.

Didn't like the cold white lights in the bathroom. Bathroom isn't modern, it's slightly dated, but very clean and very good water pressure and showerhead!

Amazing Breakfast! Very comfortable bed and bedding. Best hotel sleep I've ever had. Awesome showerhead and water pressure and nice shower amenities. Beautiful architecture. Very friendly staff!

The restaurant was overpriced for the quality of the food. I have had much better bacon and eggs at a very much lower price! However my daughter enjoyed her avocado toast. The room was lovely.

First of all, the hotel lobby and rooms are gorgeous, bringing one back to another age but with all modern conveniences. The location of the hotel was perfect for the forks market, river and the museum of human rights. It’s a Winnipeg landmark and very historical with great atmosphere.

The accessible entrance from parking was closed all 3 days we were there. I know maintenance needs to be done but this was very disruptive. The facility would have been completely unaccessible to a person in a wheelchair. Very poor planning

    Very interesting historic building

I could hear people in the next room talking, which was annoying. There was also a lot of door slamming as people entered and left their rooms.

The location was great; easy access to The Forks, restaurants, and transportation. The hotel is old and gracious, and all parts of the hotel were elegant. The bedroom was large, and featured a fold out couch, a king size bed, and a lot of space. The coffee in the lobby in the morning was a wonderful bonus after an early check-out.

It’s a bit pricey. Getting in to the parking with a standard vehicle is challenging.

Nothing! I try and stay at the Fort Garry hotel whenever I visit Winnipeg!

The Fort Garry hotel is a beautiful and historic hotel in the heart of Winnipeg Manitoba. The lobby and most public areas have been beautifully updated, maintaining the integrity of the original hotel! The rooms are consistent with that of an older (but prestigious) hotel and the bed and pillows (I stayed in standard king) were delightful!

The size of the room and bathroom.

An historic hotel in a good location. We had booked a king room but were disappointed by the size of the room. It was a small corner room on a low floor with no view. The bathroom was one of the smallest we have stayed in. It’s an easy walk to the attractions at The Forks and near by restaurants.
