Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ColombiaThe staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was big and very comfortable and big, it had everything that was needed. I got clear instructions for my late check-in and it was easy to do it. It's very well located, there's a bus line just in front the hotel. Breakfast is not in the hotel, you need to go to a coffee place nearby, and it's good, but it has limited options.

BrazilSome AC outlets didn't seem to work as I could only charge my gadgets on a few of them. The breakfast being out of the hotel's facilities threw me off at first, it wasn't a big deal but I can't imagine staying during harsher weather. I stayed in the second floor and the stairs felt very steep returning after an entire day's walk.
The room was very spacious and comfortable, well decorated and felt old-school. They provided a voucher for breakfast at a cafe at walking distance from the hotel, and it was very good although there weren't many options to choose from. The location was superb as it was very close to the plains of Abraham park, I could walk from there and get to Old Quebec in no time.

CanadaThe hotel has a homely touch, but the downside is that it doesn't have an elevator, making it a bit tricky to carry luggage up. Breakfast is served near the hotel, and it's very good. The location is close to all the tourist attractions, about a 15-minute walk. I recommend this place, as it’s reasonably priced :)

CanadaI would have love to had a fridge in the room. The shower was spacious, however the water temperature, at its maximum, was hot but not crazy. As good as the breakfast was, be aware that you have to wlak outside for a minute or two before getting to the place where you can get it (no big deal).
The room had a lot of space, and the shower was also very spacious. The breakfast, despite being 2 minute of walk away was really enjoyable ! Friendly people at reception. A very great experience overall.

United StatesPretty far from areas we visited, and bus service was irregular. Wish they had tea in their common area for evening sipping. Very steep stairs.

United Statessteep stairways to our floor, breakfast was included but we had to walk and spend extra time to obtain breakfast at a fast food eatery. breakfast was very good, although limited choices. Bath towels barely adequate.
comfortable older building, very friendly helpful staff, outside grounds nicely kept, secure with multiple layers of locked doors. Bus stop right out front. Close to Old Quebec and to local shopping, historical buildings along the same block.

AustraliaThere was no provision for tea or coffee in the room. We were given vouchers to a coffee bar 10 minutes walk away. It was hard to find. When we got there they refused to honour some of the items eg fruit juice and charged extra for espresso coffee. We had vouchers for 2 days but didn't go back on the second day
The beds were comfortable and the location was very good for restaurants The staff were friendly and helpful

CanadaThe included breakfast was not on site. We were given coupons for a local cafe. It was fine for us, but with mobility issues it could be a problem. Our room was on ground level, but stairs were steep and there was no elevator. It would be a problem for anyone with mobility issues. There was no plug adapted to charge a phone. A lamp is needed behind chair in room for reading. Need written instructions for a/c and tv.
Location is approx. 20-25 minute walk from Old Quebec. It was close to restaurants on Avenue Cartier and Grand Allee Ouest. There is a room with microwave, air fryer/toaster oven, mini fridge & table seating if you purchase take out food.

United StatesNo table for eating in the room. No coffee maker or electric teepot to boil the water.
The staff was excellent. Although there was no elevator for the second floor were we stayed the person at the reception took our luggage up and down when we needed. The size of the room was big enough. The room was clean. The location was not clode to downtown or old town. However the bus N11 stopped just in front of the Hotel. It took us to the most pf the places we wanted to see.
