Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaMy room faced the street, which had sidewalk seating for bars, so those with light or noise sensitivity might not like it. I didn’t find the light or noise to be obtrusive and slept fine. No elevator, so stairs to the lobby, and to the room, would be difficult if you can’t do stairs. The balcony is accessed through a window, rather than a door, so that too might be an issue for people with physical disabilities.
Modern decor. Spacious clean room. Comfy bed. Lots of pillows. Joseph at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. The water pressure and shower were top notch. Parking was reasonably priced. It was in a parking garage across the street and had in and out privileges with the easy to use passcard provided by the hotel. I felt comfortable leaving the car there. Location was good, near restaurants, metro. Tim Hortons next door for a quick breakfast and off to start the day. No gym or pool, but that means you’re not paying for a gym or pool. My room (#201) had a little balcony overlooking the lively street.

United StatesThe lights from the theater across the street were very bright but the blinds blocked it out perfectly overnight. We couldn’t get our coffee machine to work and no one came to the reception desk when we went down a few times to ask about it.

United StatesWe got the last available room, so we were on the 3rd floor. Despite that, it was a quiet and relaxing place to stay. The theater across the street has a large brightly lit sign, but it was shut off overnight.
Great location near the Metro, shops, and restaurants. The room was larger than it appeared in the photos, which was a nice surprise. It was pretty quiet despite being at the front of the building, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was welcoming and made our stay a pleasant one..

Exceptionally clean. Room is refreshed daily a rarity these days. Boutique Hotel is well located close to Metro and within walking distance of many iconic Montreal locations. Managers are just wonderful, sincere and kind. Arranged for our late arrival with ease.

Front desk staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the city. The room was spacious and had everything we needed - hair dryer, electric kettle, etc. Amenities were top notch and we loved the breakfast at Second Cup! Definitely recommend staying here and will do so again when we’re back in Montreal!

United KingdomOur room at Le Relais Lyonnais was large, clean and comfortable. The hotel is well located - only a 20 or so minute walk from Old Montreal and close to lots of restaurants and bars. The metro station is also only a couple of minutes' walk from the hotel and serves as a good base for exploring Montreal. We asked for a quiet room, which was accommodated - we were in a room at the back of the building and it was really quiet and peaceful. Albert was an excellent host and extremely helpful in making arrangements for us to check in late when our train into Montreal was delayed. We were also able to get our laundry done through the hotel which was really helpful. Breakfast is at a cafe a few doors down from the hotel - you get a voucher entitling you to a tea/coffee and pastry/muffin. The cafe and its staff were lovely and it made for a nice start to the day to sit down with a tasty pastry or warm maple muffin and a good coffee. All in all we had a great stay.

The room was also very quiet, despite us being there Saturday night when the street was packed with people. But the staff is really what made the stay exceptional. Albert went out of his way to make sure we felt comfortable and were well taken care off.

You nearly didn’t hear anything - big washroom - everything was really really (really) clean - coffee and tea options in the room - big fridge in the room - in the middle of the city center - really nice and kind hosts - parking close by - coffee / tea and a croissant / chocolate croissant / muffin were included as breakfast at the corner of the street (not even 1 minute walk)

United StatesStaff was so friendly and helpful. I couldn't get the TV to work and the manager immediately came to help. The streets were hot and wonderfully loud with a carnival going on, but my room was wonderfully cool, quiet, and well appointed. I would absolutely stay here again. Also, little chocolates by the bedside to enjoy with Nespresso coffee! I loved that.
