Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaIn the pictures on booking, it shows that there's a hot tub in the pool.Area. When we got to the pool area, there was no hot tub. That was the main reason we actually stayed there because we wanted a hot tub. The lady at the desk told us. Those pictures must be old because they haven't had a hot tub in five years near the pool. So it's deceiving

United StatesOur only complaint was at checkout when the man refused to give us a receipt. Only after demanding it, did he print it out. We prefer to check our balance owed at the facility rather than having to deal with potential problems later.
Beautiful new modern hotel. Our king suite was very comfortable and pleasant. Staff was welcoming when we arrived. Breakfast was very good with many selections.

CanadaThe bathroom floor was quite dirty and needed to be swept. Also, there was a huge stain on the shower floor that looked like it needed to be scrubbed/cleaned - so we wore our shower flip flops.
Comfy bed, and it was also nice to have a couch to watch TV so we didn't have to sit in bed. Great hotel breakfast and the convenience of having a kitchenette to make our own tea and coffee was nice.

Very well maintained and updated. Staff was very friendly, room was very clean and well kept. You can tell they’ve done a lot of recent updated both inside and out of the hotel. The continental breakfast was also very good with a good range of options.

CanadaThe rooms were big and well furnished with extra linens, lots of towels and a comfortable bed. The suite came with a full kitchen which is great for staying with children. They provided a cot for our 1 year old and the place felt very safe. The pool was nice and warm and the breakfast buffet was very convenient before going out for the day. We enjoyed our stay.
